NWA Television Champion Mims vs. Dak Draper Ended in a Time-Limit DrawMims and Draper have obviously been teaming now for some time, so it was cool to see them go one-on-one for the Television title. The six-minute-and-five-second time limit didn't allow them to reach that next gear, but it was a quality contest while it lasted. The NWA has done the time-limit draw finish a lot in the last year but not so much recently, so this didn't bother me, especially since it can set up a potential rematch. Looks That Kill def. Kamille and Thom LatimerLooks That Kill is the new team name for Bryan Idol and Natalia Markova. This didn't have a stipulation, but it may as well have since they fought outside of the ring for quite a while. On the whole, this was a pretty good match. It's been known for weeks that Kamille will exiting the NWA when her contract expires at the beginning of the year, so I was glad that Kamille finally put over her long-term rival Markova by getting pinned by her. The Southern Six (NWA National Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason, Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor) def. The Miserably Faithful (Gaagz the Gymp, Sal the Pal and Judais)The promos the two groups cut beforehand were pretty unnecessary as I feel as if nothing of any real note was said. They're both heel groups, too, but their promos didn't establish any of them as babyfaces, which was weird. Joking about the cocaine spot from Samhain that apparently cost them their CW television deal was also dumb (though I know Powerrr is now being uploaded to the CW app). Miserably Faithful is terrible, but the match itself wasn't half bad. Of course, the correct trio went over. Overall ShowThis was easily the best edition of Powerrr in some time thanks to featuring the NWA regulars and none of the new people. As I've said before, I'm glad they're bringing in fresh faces, but storyline consistency and star power (by NWA standards) are also key factors in making these shows worthwhile. This was largely enjoyable and the change of scenery was a nice touch. It was also announced that EC3's upcoming NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship defense against Matt Cardona will be an "Ultimate Match of Death", whatever the hell that means.
