The Slimeballs Won a Christmas Wish Battle RoyaleI believe the stipulation was that the winning team would get their "Christmas wish" granted, which was an opportunity at the NWA United States Tag Team Championship in the case of The Slimeballs. It was your average Battle Royal and I didn't care about most of the combatants, but the NWA doesn't do Battle Royales all that often if my memory serves me right, so it was fine and giving it stakes was a nice touch. Aron Stevens and NWA World Tag Team Champions Blunt Force Trauma Addressed The FixersThis was done to build toward Blunt Force Trauma's upcoming title defense against The Fixers. Stevens did an effective job per usual and both members of Blunt Force Trauma said a few words as well. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary about this, but it accomplished what it needed to. Although I'm no Blunt Force Trauma fan, Stevens continues to excel in the managerial role and add to their act. Missa Kate def. Sal the PalApparently the setup for this match was Sal having "choice words" for Kate on commentary a few weeks ago (according to the NWA's description for this show on YouTube). I have no recollection of that at all, but then again, I tend to tune out the commentary during most of these matches. The NWA doesn't do intergender stuff often, but this was decent. Neither Kate nor Sal mean much at the moment, so Kate winning wasn't egregious or anything. Daisy Kill and Talos def. Carson Drake and Lord CreweDrake and Crewe were representatives of Exodus Pro Wrestling. Drake appeared on Powerrr about a month ago and I remember Crewe from the many matches he had on the AEW Dark shows. I thought this would be a simple squash for Kill and Talos, but it ended up being fairly competitive. It was a decent match that gave the former NWA United States Tag Team Champions a rebound victory. Kenzie Paige def. Kamille to Win the NWA World Women's Championship(From my NWA 75: Night 2 review...) Kamille and Markova really raised the bar with their No Limits match in the main event of Night 1 and I wasn't sure if this would be able to measure up. Then again, Kamille has consistently delivered throughout her reign, so I shouldn't have been surprised this was great, too. It took some time to get going, but once they picked up the pace, they had a strong match, complete with the long-awaited title change. It felt like a big moment because Kamille's been champ for so long and it puts Paige over big time. She's come a long way since debuting and feels ready for this spot after the recent work she's done as NWA Women's Television Champion. Overall ShowI'm honestly surprised there was an original edition of Powerrr this week considering this aired the day after Christmas. Granted, the main event was a full-length replay from NWA 75 (which was an excellent match that is worth watching again), but the rest of the matches were new. It was your typical throwaway holiday show for the most part, but it was perfectly passable and even set some stuff up for the coming weeks and the next pay-per-view, Paranoia.
