Joe Alonzo def. Alex MiseryAlonzo has been one of the NWA's most improved talents over the last year and I'm glad he's continuing to rack up victories. I know nothing about Misery, but I thought he had an impressive performance in what was a nice opener. Perhaps it's already been officially announced, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Alonzo get another opportunity at Colby Corino's NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship at the Paranoia taping. Magic Jake Dumas def. Storm Thomas and Anthony Catena in an NWA Television Championship No. 1 Contender's Three-Way MatchMuch like Misery, I wasn't familiar with Thomas or Catena whatsoever coming into this contest, nor do I know what they did to deserve a spot in a number one contender's match. There was no way they were winning, but Dumas getting a title shot is an interesting choice. He's competent in the ring, I just don't see him becoming champion, especially since he hasn't been involved in anything of note in some time. This was a well-worked three-way, though. Austin Idol Was HonoredThis was billed as a celebration of Idol's career as he's apparently been in the business for 50 years. Bobby Fulton, Billy Corgan and Nicole Graham (the daughter of Mike Graham I believe) were out there to commemorate the occasion, but Idol ended up trash-talking all of them and going back to being the heel he's always been. This was a fine segment and it was cool that he was honored, but it was a pretty pointless segment otherwise. NWA World Tag Team Champions Blunt Force Trauma de. The FixersIt feels like it's been a while since we last saw Wrecking Ball Legursky and Jay Bradley team up. They're a quality team, but they've been spinning their wheels since they dropped the NWA United States Tag Team Championship a year ago. This was a random match, but it was decent hoss fight. I didn't expect Blunt Force Trauma to lose the titles out of nowhere, but they scored a fair amount offense before losing. Overall ShowI realized that the upcoming Paranoia event will not be airing anywhere and it's actually just a night they'll be taping the next batch of Powerrr episodes. If that's true, then it's weird they'd be hyping it up so much on the show, but I guess they really want to sell tickets. As for this edition, it was solid by Powerrr standards and was an efficient 42 minutes long with the championship main event and the number one contender's match making it more eventful.
