NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Immortals vs. Daisy Kill and Talos Ended in a Double DisqualificationThis was Kill and Talos' rematch for the NWA United States Tag Team Championship. I would've been perfectly fine with Kill and Talos getting their rematch out of the way here and Immortals winning decisively, but it looks like the feud with continue based on the lame non-finish. The match was okay, but it was too short to be anything out of the ordinary. The post-match brawl awkwardly cut to Kratos attacking Aron Stevens backstage before Blunt Force Trauma made the save. That whole thing may have lasted longer than the match did. Missa Kate def. Taylor RisingNo reason was given as to why this happened, but there might be more to come between them based on how Kate put Rising away. The match served as a solid showcase for both women and was well worked in the time they were allotted. I hope that this actually amounts to something and isn't quickly forgotten with Kate and Rising disappearing from Powerrr for weeks on end. Kate could contend for the NWA World Women's Championship eventually with a few more wins. Aron Stevens Interrupted Kyle Davis' Interview with Tiffany Nieves and Ruthie JayNieves and Jay were discussing their issues with each other when Stevens interrupted pretty early on in their interview to complain about being attacked by The Immortals. Stevens said that if The Immortals relinquish the U.S. tag titles, they can challenge Blunt Force Trauma for the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Why not just put both sets of belts on the line and unify them? It's not as if there's a ton of depth in the NWA's tag team division. The portion of this segment with Nieves and Jay seemed pointless. Either give them more time or don't have them out there at all. Anthony Andrews def. KC CazanaI like that we've gotten a formal feud between Andrews and the new Country Gentlemen because it make sense. It's a simple story and it's easy to care about the matches as a result. This was good stuff and Andrews winning was the right call to keep the rivalry alive. Cazana's dad got in the ring afterward and started beating up on Andrews, so maybe Andrews will face him too at some point? Pretty Empowered (NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige, Kylie Paige and Ella Envy) def. Natalia Markova and NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions The Killer BeesThe stipulations were that Pretty Empowered would earn a rematch at the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship if their team won whereas one of The Killer Bees could challenge for the NWA Women's World Championship if their team won. This was a logical match to do regardless, but adding stakes made it even more meaningful. This was a quality contest. Pretty Empowered winning gave them their heat back after Envy and Kylie lost their tag titles, but it doesn't make Markova look like much of a threat ahead of her upcoming title shot. Overall ShowThere was a lot of talk about the upcoming Hard Times event throughout the episode, but to my knowledge, that won't be a live pay-per-view as it has been in the past and will instead as separate editions of Powerrr in the subsequent weeks. They're getting back to building and furthering storylines, which is a positive, and the wrestling has largely been adequate so far in the CW era. Powerrr was much more fun to watch in late 2019, but the last month has been an improvement over what it's been for the last year or two.
