Bruiser Bob Interrupted NWA National Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason; The Southern Six (Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor) def. Bob and Devan DixonMason spoke about his dominant run as National champ and putting EC3 on notice when this random dude named Bruiser Bob showed up claiming to be Mason's third cousin or something like that. I know Dixon has history with Mason (that was acknowledged when they had their match a few months ago), but the stuff with Bob was goofy. The impromptu tag match was whatever, but the top takeaway was that Mason officially relinquished his title afterward so he can challenge EC3 for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship soon. I thought the Lucky Seven rule was exclusive to the NWA Television Championship? Oh well, I'm glad Mason is moving up the card. Tiffany Nieves def. Ruthie JayI liked that these two had a chance to hype up this match with their face-off last week, even though it was cut short by Aron Stevens. There wasn't anything on the line, but it was implied on commentary that the winner could be next in line for a shot at a championship. Both women had solid showings and they had a well-worked match. More of this sort of stuff in the women's division (and in the NWA in general) can go a long way. It's simple yet effective booking. The Spectaculars Interrupted Eric Smalls and Knox and MurdochI totally forgot about Smalls interacting with Knox and Murdoch on a past episode. That felt like it was a while ago, and we're only getting the follow-up now? Rolando Freeman interrupted them and was frustrated with Knox and Murdoch showing Smalls respect before accepting their challenge for a six-man tag team match. Personally, this storyline (if you can call it that) does nothing for me, but it's giving Knox and Murdoch something to do, if nothing else. "Bulletproof" Blake Troop def. Bryan Idol to Qualify for the NWA National Championship Four-Way MatchBilly Corgan announced via a video package that aired immediately after the opener that a tournament will be held to crown a new NWA National Champion at their next set of tapings. Basically, there will be four qualifying matches in the coming weeks and the winners of those matches will compete in a four-way at the event for the vacant title. This match was already advertised coming into the episode, but it was subsequently made a qualifier. The added stakes justified it being in the main event spot. It was a fairly average outing, though I could have done without the interference from Chris Silvio and Natalia Markova. Overall ShowThis may have been one of the weaker editions of Powerrr on the whole since the move to the CW app, but it was newsworthy if only for the announcement that Mason is relinquishing the National title and moving up to world title contention. That's two big matches to look forward to on future shows. The rest of this episode was perfectly fine with the women getting some shine and a six-man tag team match being set up that I don't particularly care about.
