A.J. Francis def. Bryan Idol in a No Disqualification MatchI give Francis a lot of credit. Despite being subpar in the ring, he's become more relevant since leaving WWE the second time with his runs in TNA and MLW. Now he's arrived in the NWA, but it remains to be seen whether he'll be sticking around or if this was just a one-off. He did a nice job of eliciting heat with his pre-match promo. They benefited from the stipulation, which was added right before the bell rang. Aside from a few messy moments, this was decent and the crowd was into it. Thom Latimer def. Blake "Bulletproof" Troop, Zyon and Burchill in a Four-Way Match to Win the Vacant NWA National ChampionshipFor a four-way match, this was much shorter than I thought it would be. I don't know it would have been much better if it was longer, but it was solid while it lasted. Latimer is a better option than Troop or Zyon, but him as National champ feels like old hat, so that outcome didn't exactly excite me. Troop attacked Chris Silvio afterward, so that alliance appears to be over. Whether Troop benefits from being on his own remains to be seen. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 de. "Thrillbilly" Silas MasonIt was cool to see Mason in the main event and I'm glad he got this opportunity, but never at any point did this feel like a main event. It was perfectly passable, but the action wasn't interesting and it never felt like they reached that next gear. EC3's matches tend to be hit or miss, and although this fell in the latter category, I'll take this over the trash we were subjected to during Tyrus' reign. I would've liked to see Mason take the title here, but no such luck. Overall ShowThis was culmination of the NWA's Hard Times event from two months ago. I didn't think it'd take this long to finally air, but I guess they really want to maximize their television tapings by stretching everything out over the course of several weeks. You'd think they saved the best for last, but this wasn't a particularly strong show. Amazingly, Francis vs. Idol was when the crowd was at their hottest. The other two matches were title matches but weren't anything out of the ordinary. All in all, it was an adequate edition of Powerrr.
