Apollo Crews def. Curt Hawkins
I've been thoroughly enjoying the videos Titus Worldwide has been in on WWE's YouTube channel as of late, but it unfortunately hasn't resulted in more television time for Crews. He's an excellent athlete, as seen in this match, but he's as directionless as can be. Thankfully, Hawkins can make anyone he's in the ring with look good, so this was a fun little match while it lasted.
Elias def. Kalisto
Perhaps it was because this took place in front of a hotter crowd, but this was much better than the bout these two had on Raw last week. It helped that the crowd was super into Elias and actually cheered when he won. He's managing to get over with the audience, and his booking I'm sure has a lot to do with that. Elias worked over Kalisto for a majority of the matchup, so while it wasn't incredibly exciting, the finish was fantastic with Elias reversing the Salida del Sol into his own signature move.
Toronto was livelier for this edition of Main Event than most crowds tend to be, so that was a plus. The matches themselves weren't too much to write home about, but they were fine for what they were and effectively filled the time. The Raw recaps aren't as must-see due to a largely dull show on Monday night, so check out the matches if you're interested and nothing else.
