Scrypts def. Javier BernalWe haven't seen a whole lot of Scrpyts in the ring since he aligned with OTM, but as I've said before, he's much more tolerable in this new role. They're a heel group, so it was weird to see him face a fellow heel in Bernal. I assume that's because Bernal can always be counted on for a quality contest and that's what this was. It was a nice little sprint while it lasted. Based on what went down on Tuesday's NXT, it looks like Scrypts might be getting involved in the Chase U drama. Valentina Feroz def. Amari MillerThis marked Miller's return to the ring after being out injured. She must have had another injury before that because I could've sworn that she already returned a while ago before disappearing again. She's never been the most interesting to me from a character standpoint, but she's passable in the ring. This was a fairly basic bout from her and Feroz and I was surprised Miller lost in her return. NXT Tag Team Champions The Family def. Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey (Non-Title)It's not exactly an encouraging sign that the NXT Tag Team Champions were relegated to Level Up this week, mainly because that has never been the case for. Shawn Michaels has done a commendable job of improving the quality of NXT TV in the last year, but the tag team division remains an Achilles heel for him. This was the well-wrestled match you'd expect from these teams with the champs going over decisively, though the timing wasn't ideal with someone from Gulak's group set to challenge Dragon Lee for the NXT North American Championship on next Tuesday's episode. Overall ShowAll in all, this was a solid edition of Level Up. The opener and the main event had nice action, Miller is back from injury, and the NXT Tag Team Champions making an appearance was notable. Granted, that shouldn't become the norm going forward, but it did make this show stand out. I'm not sure if there will be shows for the next two weeks due to the upcoming holidays, but if there is, they could be abbreviated episodes.
