WWE NXT Level Up Review - November 3, 2023

Ivy Nile def. Valentina Feroz

It's been a big week for Diamond Mine with The Creed Brothers winning both of their matches on Raw and NXT. Nile accompanied them on Monday's Raw, so it looks like she'll be joining them on the main roster and that's great news. She may just be a manager on the main roster for now, but it's better than spinning her wheels on NXT TV and being stuck in Level Up purgatory. Nile and Feroz are experienced enough to have a quality contest and that's what this was. They worked well together and it was fun for the five minutes they were allotted.

Myles Borne def. Trey Bearhill

I was skeptical about Borne turning heel, but he's been getting much more exposure as part of Drew Gulak's stable than he was previously. He was also able to go over here, though that wasn't too surprising considering who his opponent was. Bearhill didn't get a chance to do much, and there was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary about this outing, but it was passable and both men held their own.

Oro Mensah def. Dante Chen

Chen resurfaced on NXT TV on Night 1 of Halloween Havoc last week, losing to the debuting Lexis King. He was seen in the background during a backstage segment on this week's show being confronted by Boa, and Boa came to his aid after this match as well. I can't say I care about whatever NXT is planning to do with them, but I suppose it's better than nothing. At any rate, this was a nice main event with the expected outcome.

Overall Show

We got the two-match format with Level Up for three weeks in a row and I was hopeful that it'd be permanent, but apparently not. Three matches on a developmental show just isn't necessary. That said, this was a solid episode by Level Up standards. The Meta-Four and Gulak's group got some momentum and Nile may have had her NXT sendoff, so it was somewhat noteworthy in that respect.
