What's the Royal Rumble Game?

It isn't Royal Rumble season until the official details for my annual Royal Rumble Game are released, and thus here we are! This will be the eighth consecutive year I will be hosting the Royal Rumble Game, and it remains one of my favorite things to do all year. Thanks to all who have ever participated and will continue to participate. I'm extremely excited for this upcoming installment, so let's get cracking!

By this point, everyone should be fairly familiar with the rules of the Royal Rumble (considering it's usually the same people who throw their name in the hat every year), but for those who are unfamiliar with the concept, here have been the rules in the past: You pick a number 1-30. Each entry is limited to one person (you can still play unofficially if you'd like), and it's first come, first serve. The designated sign-up date and time is below. If whoever enters at your number in the Royal Rumble Game wins the whole thing, you win the game!

Similar to last year, there will two Rumble pools: one for the men's Rumble, and one for the women's Rumble. You are allowed enter both, so while there are 60 available spots in the 2019 Royal Rumble Game, there could be as few as 30 total entrants (you can choose to only enter one if you'd like or if no spots remain in the other Rumble). You are still limited to only one spot per Rumble, but when you choose two numbers between 1-30, please specify which is for the men's or and which is for women's. No two people can choose the same spot in either Rumble. Therefore, there will be two winners (unless the same person wins both, which is possible)!

What Can I Win?

It doesn't end there, though, as we will have a prize hanging in the balance! Not only will you have the honor of winning the Rumble Game if your entry comes out on top in either of the annual Battle Royals on January 26th, you will also win a free WrestleRant Radio t-shirt! They're also available on the WhatAManeuver.net store, or you can choose the t-shirt of whoever you got in the Rumble (and if they don't have a shirt, you can get the aforementioned WrestleRant Radio tee). If you win, I will contact you in the subsequent days with information as to how it will be sent over to you.

Also, if you win the 2020 Royal Rumble Game, you automatically earn entry into next year's game and get to choose your number before anyone else! Due to winning the 2019 Royal Rumble Game, Jared Jackson-Ferrans and Ross have already entered this year's installment and have chosen their numbers in the men's and women's Rumbles. As always, I'll have No. 17 for both (it's my favorite number, so that's the only reasoning behind it). In the past, I've gotten The Godfather, Sheamus, every member of The New Day, Braun Strowman, and Jinder Mahal (lucky me...), so we'll see what this year has in store.

When Can I Sign Up For a Spot?

Now comes the question everyone's been asking: how and when will you be able to choose your number in the 2020 Royal Rumble Game? In past years, people have left comments on this very blog post with what number(s) they want, but thand we'll be taking that same approach with this year's installment with a slight tweak. When the comment section opens (and you'll find out exactly when in a second), you can leave a comment down below with the numbers you want for each Rumble (please specify which number is for which Rumble) and either a Twitter handle or an email address I can contact you at if you win. You can also tweet me @WrestleRant with what number(s) you want at the designated time.

When the full roster of 30 people between the two Rumbles is set, your name will be attached to the number down below and your name will be linked to whatever Twitter handle/email address you used in your comment. As noted, spots are limited. Only one person can be assigned to a number per Rumble (and as previously noted, you are eligible to enter both Rumbles as long as nobody has taken the numbers you want). I will respond to your comment with approval that the numbers are yours. First come, first serve! Even if you don't get to officially participate, you can still play along at home!

The drawing of the numbers will be going down on Thursday, January 23rd at 8 p.m. ET! Thanks and hope to see you participate in the game!
