Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. JC Storm and Joelle Clift

I am not exaggerating when I say that these matches with Rose and Shafir teaming are consistently one of the worst parts of Elevation. Rose is obviously competent on her own, but Shafir still sucks and isn't getting much better. Then again, I can't say I'm surprised considering she spent years in WWE's developmental system and didn't improve whatsoever. As you could probably expect, this wasn't very good while it lasted.

Julia Hart def. Tiara James

Hart may break the record for most consecutive appearances on Elevation. Seriously, it feels like she's in action every week on this show, and almost every single match of hers is the same. As I've noted before, she's definitely better than she was a year ago, but I'm not quite sure she's ready to have competitive matches yet with other women on the roster. This was fine and harmless.

Dante Martin and Matt Sydal def. Zack Clayton and Serpentico

Date and Sydal have resumed teaming with Darius Martin out injured for the rest of the year and Lee Moriarty ditching Sydal for Stokley Hathaway's group. They work well together, so I'm not complaining. I don't know if they'll be used on Dynamite or Rampage at all, but it's better than them doing nothing in singles competition. I was surprised by how short this was considering Clayton and Serpentico are more established than your average enhancement talent, but it was a fun little sprint.

Athena def. Emi Sakura

I fear that Athena is going to become a regular on Dark and Elevation coming off her failure to beat Jade Cargill for the AEW TBS Championship at All Out. I would like to see her chase for the title continue and for her to ultimately be the one to hand Cargill her first loss, but nothing we've seen since the event has indicated that will be the case. This was designed to get her back on track with a win, so it served its purpose in that respect.

House of Black (Buddy Matthews and Brody King) def. Isiah Price and Kubes

There's been no word on what will happen with House of Black now that Malakai Black has reportedly received his conditional release from AEW. They're obviously still going by that name for now and they'll likely keep it, but if Black's not going to be around for a while, what does this mean for their push? They're a very talented team, so here's hoping they'll get a chance to shine. This was total domination from them as it should have been.

Hikaru Shida def. Christina Marie

I hate to say it, but I assume it's back to Dark duty for Shida now that she's failed to regain the AEW Women's World Championship at All Out. I'd love to think she'll appear more frequently on TV coming off the tag team win she scored on the Dynamite prior to the pay-per-view, but considering Tony Khan is still in booking the women's division, I'm not getting my hopes up. This was a straightforward showcase for her.

John Silver def. Ryan Nemeth

The Dark Order (and Adam Page) just fell short of becoming the inaugural AEW Trios World Champions at All Out. Where do they go now? Do Dark Order continue to hang around Page, or is back to being underrcard fodder? I'm assuming the latter. Nemeth is a goof like the rest of The Wingmen and isn't all that stellar in the ring, but this was serviceable to give Silver a singles win.

The Butcher and The Blade def. The Factory (Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto)

Butcher and Blade are Buffalo natives (or at least one of them is), so QT Marshall basically had to remind the crowd of that fact with his pre-match promo to ensure they got a reaction. Butcher and Blade wearing Buffalo hockey (?) jerseys helped with that. They're usually heels, but it was smart to have them play the babyface role here and it was cool that they got the main event slot. This had a nice energy to it, but it was pretty standard stuff otherwise.

Overall Show

I'm going to miss Matt Menard on commentary when he returns to the ring soon, unless he's going to pull double duty. Did Paul Wight undergo surgery again or something? Nonetheless, this was your average edition of Elevation. I appreciated that it was around 45 minutes in length, but none of the matches stood out at all and most of the same directionless people were featured. Thus, nothing is worth seeking out.
