AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks def. Death Triangle (Pac and Penta El Zero Miedo)

Young Bucks had a hell of a match with Pac and Rey Fenix a few months ago, so it was no surprise that this was equally enjoyable. It was a spot-fest at several points, so if you don't like that sort of thing, this likely wasn't for you. Pac being back in the tag ranks after just contending for the AEW World Championship on Sunday is a bit odd, but his booking has been odd in general. Post-match, Eddie Kingston came out to make the save despite his history with Death Triangle. It looks like Jon Moxley will be for out for a while as his wife Renee is due soon.

Andrade El Idolo and Vickie Guerrero Interrupted Mark Henry

Well, this certainly came out of nowhere. Henry was announced as being an analyst for AEW Rampage premiering this August and he was asked by Tony Schiavone here whether he planned to wrestle. He simply said he had "a lot left in the tank" before Vickie came out announcing Andrade. The audience didn't seem to know how to react at first because it was so random, but they ended going nuts once he walked out. It gave the show a must-see feel like anything could happen at any time. Needless to say, he'll be a great get for AEW.

The Factory (QT Marshall and Anthony Ogogo) def. Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson

I was never high on The Nightmare Family vs. The Factory in the first place, but I lost any and all interest I had left in the feud after that flat match between Cody and Ogogo at Double or Nothing. In other words, this match did nothing for me. It was technically fine but lacked excitement. It wasn't even Ogogo who pinned Cody, it was Marshall. Was this designed to set up a rematch between them? Better question: Who cares?

Inner Circle Addressed The Pinnacle

Despite winning decisively in Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing, Inner Circle repeatedly said that they aren't done with Pinnacle. Chris Jericho brought up what MJF did to him at Blood and Guts and everything else Pinnacle has put them through, but why wouldn't the Stadium Stampede win have been enough and give them the satisfaction they wanted? What will? Are they going to feud until the end of time? We're obviously headed for singles matches between each member of the two groups (starting with Jake Hager and Wardlow in an MMA fight in two weeks), but the whole booking of this rivalry feels ass-backwards to me.

Jungle Boy and Christian Cage def. Private Party

This was the follow-up to Jungle Boy and Cage tossing Private Party out of the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing. It was also announced that Jungle Boy will be getting his shot at Kenny Omega's AEW World Championship on the Saturday edition of Dynamite on June 26th. This was a fun tag team match. Jungle Boy is super over right now and this win kept his momentum rolling. Also, it looks like Cage is headed for a feud (or at least a match) with Matt Hardy.

Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page Interrupted Sting and Darby Allin

Sting was beloved at Double or Nothing and it was nice to see the crowd show him that same love here. He and Allin were quickly interrupted by Sky and Page, who promised that their bad blood with them wasn't over. Much like with Inner Circle vs. Pinnacle, why are we getting the singles matches after the pay-per-view and not before it? Is Page vs. Allin an attraction worth building to? And if Sting vs. Sky is where we're headed, meh. Don't get me wrong, Sky is talented, but him presumably being Sting's first singles opponent in almost six years is lame, even though he could carry him to a competent match.

Nyla Rose Crashed Britt Baker's AEW Women's World Championship Celebration

In case you missed it, Baker revealed on Twitter that McDonalds' apparently legitimately awarded her 1,500 coupons for free Big Macs. I wouldn't be shocked to find out she's never ordered anything from there in her life, but hey, I'd be more than happy to take those coupons off her hands. Oddly enough, this entire segment revolved around the hamburgers. A few other members of the roster were in the ring to celebrate with her, and Rose (who was already there) walked over to her and smashed the burgers out of the hands of Baker, Rebel and Schiavone before walking off. That was it. Rose has been cold for a few months now, so I don't care about that being Baker's first feud as champ, not to mention that they're both heels. Why not Tay Conti? I guess I'm happy they didn't immediately go back to Hikaru Shida, but Rose is a puzzling choice.

Red Velvet def. The Bunny

The Bunny cheated to beat Velvet in a tag team match earlier in the week on Dark: Elevation. It was nice to see other women on the show that aren't currently involved in the title picture, but this didn't have a ton of heat behind it. The Bunny just isn't great and Velvet's alliance Big Swole and KiLynn King hasn't been established on Dynamite yet. Hell, I think that was the first appearance Swole has made on Dynamite this year and it didn't feel special at all. Other than that dumb dive to the outside, this was a well-wrestled affair as Velvet continues to improve and show signs of potential.

Dustin Rhodes def. Nick Comoroto in a Bull Rope Match

The best thing I can say about this was that it didn't happen at Double or Nothing. It felt perfectly placed on Dynamite, but not in the main event slot. How the hell do you have Andrade show up earlier in the evening but then close with a Bull Rope match featuring *checks notes* Dustin Rhodes and Nick Comoroto? I know this has been teased for a while, but as previously noted, this faction feud hasn't been all that interesting. It was a good match, but it won't be remembered a week from now and the dominant Comoroto losing was the worst part. End this nonsense, please.

Overall Show

What a weird pay-per-view post-show. Tony Schiavone said there would be plenty of surprises at the start of the broadcast, but to me it looked like a lot of the same stuff we're been seeing for weeks. Apparently Double or Nothing was not the end of Inner Circle vs. Pinnacle, Sting and Allin vs. Sky and Page, or Kingston vs. Young Bucks, or Nightmare Family vs. Factory. Even the main event was slightly underwhelming. On the bright side, Andrade's arrival will get everyone's talking, but I can't say I'm thrilled with him being aligned with Vickie Guerrero of all people out of the gate. This was one of the weaker Dynamite episodes in recent memory and that's a shame because I thought Double or Nothing was a strong show.
