Rey Fenix def. KomanderKomander gets a ton of television time for a guy who hasn't had a single feud since signing with AEW and doesn't win very many matches. This wasn't any exception, but hey, at least it was a fun spot-fest that the crowd was into. Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli were shown watching backstage, and later in the night, it was confirmed hat Moxley will face Fenix on Wednesday's Dynamite before Stadium Stampede at All In. ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open def. Isiah Kassidy and "All Ego" Ethan Page (Non-Title)Page is in full-blown babyface mode at this point teaming with Kassidy, who he previously had issues with. They're a fun team and I can understand why this was competitive, but it was clear from the get-go that this only existed to give Aussie Open another victory over two established stars before they defend against MJF and Adam Cole on the All In pre-show. It was a quality contest while it lasted. We found out afterward that Aussie Open will defend against The Hardys next Wednesday on Dynamite. Sammy Guevara def. Jon CruzCruz has made a number of appearances on the Dark shows in the past. As you could probably expect, this was a straightforward squash for Guevara and was over in short order. It was weird seeing Guevara in action two days removed from saving Chris Jericho on Dynamite. I would have rather heard from him here, but listen, I get it, they want to save the important stuff for Dynamite. I just don't know that this match needed to happen. AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida and Skye Blue def. The Outcasts (Ruby Soho and Toni Storm)Blue vs. Soho was already announced for Dynamite, so it would have been quite silly for the babyfaces to lose here. Soho isn't in the four-way title match at All In, so she could easily absorb the loss. The match itself was well worked even though Skye took a majority of the offense for her team. Shida, Storm, Britt Baker and Saraya brawled afterward to hype the aforementioned four-way. It has very little storyline significance, but AEW is doing what they can with the build in a brief amount of time. Overall ShowI'm all for Rampage becoming a bit more consequential and this episode was an example of that. Nothing of super significance was accomplished, but the women were spotlighted in the main event, Aussie Open picked up a necessary win, there were some developments for Dynamite, and the opener was enjoyable. Only Guevara vs. Cruz felt pointless, but at least that didn't last longer than it needed to.
