Malakai Black def. Christopher DanielsI'll never complain about getting Black in singles competition because we went almost two years without seeing a singles match from him before recently. Despite being the total package in my opinion, Black has done a whole lot of nothing so far in AEW. I'd love to see him be the one to dethrone Adam Copeland as AEW TNT Champion, but I'm not optimistic. This would have been a cool feud a few years ago, but at least it made for a solid match here. AEW International Champion Roderick Strong def. London Lightning in an AEW International Championship Eliminator MatchDoing a brief back-and-forth between between Strong and Lightning beforehand was smart because it got the crowd behind the local favorite even though he had zero chance of winning. It was a basic squash match, but the crowd wasn't completely quiet because they did that. Roderick Strong has been teasing recruiting Kyle O'Reilly as of late, but O'Reilly didn't make an appearance here. Serena Deeb def. Trish AdoraDeeb returned to the ring at the beginning of the year, but she hasn't had many matches since then. In fact, I believe this was her first match in over a month. How can she build momentum if she rarely shows up? Sure, she picked up a decisive victory here, but her appearances need to be more consistent if she's going to be taken seriously as a championship contender again (and hopefully that's the endgame). Daniel Garcia def. Action Andretti, AAA Cruiserweight Champion Komander and "Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith in a Final Four Elimination Match (Non-Title)To my knowledge, there was nothing on the line as this was just an excuse to do a sports tie-in with the Final Four going on right now (or is already over?). Thus, it felt like something you'd see in the main event of ROH TV where the wrestling is really good yet it's difficult to care because there isn't anything at stake. If nothing else, the elimination stipulation was a nice touch and Garcia winning was the correct outcome, even though he feels completely directionless at the moment. Overall ShowThis was one of those classic "nothing to see here" editions of Rampage where the action was enjoyable on the whole and the hour wasn't a total waste of time but nothing actually happened. All of the correct people went over, but this felt like a glorified episode of Dark in that it featured no storyline-significant matches. On a weekend with so much wrestling, you're better off skipping this show and tunning into one of the other events instead.
