The Lucha Brothers def. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) in the Finals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator TournmentI expected a total spot-fest from these teams and that's exactly what this was. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed it as that's their specialty and the non-stop action was fun to follow. It helped that it could have gone either way, but Jurassic Express were my pick to win because of their recent issues with The Young Bucks. Thus, I was definitely surprised Lucha Brothers won, and I'm not opposed to because of the roll they're on right now. This was all over the place, but it wasn't a mess of a match. Rather, it was the perfect kind of chaos. AEW TNT Champion Miro and Eddie Kingston BrawledMiro has mentioned Kingston in one or two of his promos in recent weeks. That's basically the build to their AEW TNT Championship clash at All Out, which was made official on this show. Miro attacked Fuego Del Sol to start this segment, and you'd think Sammy Guevara would have come out instead given their ties. What a terrible friend. Kingston is an acceptable challenger, but the feud has no heat. Why not start building to this a month ago? Miro's TNT title run has been dominant but barely televised. At least this succeeded in setting up their matchup for the pay-per-view. The Bunny def. Tay ContiThis was set up backstage on Dynamite this past week as both women will be involved in the Casino Battle Royale at All Out. They previously met one-on-one a few months ago on Dynamite when Conti was being built up for a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship. They didn't get much time at all, and while it wasn't terrible, it certainly wasn't memorable. Penelope Ford coming out to distract Conti and cost her the win went over like a fart in church. I honestly couldn't care less about Bunny and Ford being paired off, but maybe it will lead to Anna Jay returning and helping Conti take them out. The tame reaction to this match should make it apparent that AEW needs to heat up their women's division and make it more of a priority. Impact World Champion Christian Cage and Frankie Kazarian def. AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Brandon CutlerI know Cutler is a member of The Elite, but wouldn't Omega want to recruit someone else from the roster to team with in the main event of Rampage? Or a member of The Young Bucks or The Good Brothers? Cutler is an absolute joke and it was clear from the moment this match started that he'd be the one eating the pinfall. It was a solid tag team match on the whole, but you could tell this was taped after Wednesday's Dynamite because the crowd sounded lifeless. This didn't do much to get me more excited for Cage vs. Omega at All Out than I already was. Overall ShowNeedless to say, this was easily the weakest edition of Rampage yet, which I realize isn't saying much because we've only had three. This is the type of show I don't want to get used to seeing late on a Friday night because it's taped and the crowd isn't as energetic. I'd love for Rampage to be live most weeks, but I don't know if that's plausible or not. This was a decent hour of action and storyline progression, but unlike in previous weeks, nothing stood out as special whatsoever.
