Jon Moxley def. Lee MoriartyMoxley recently knocked out Moriarty's tag team partner Shane Taylor, so a match between these two made sense. It also allowed Moriarty to follow up on his strong showing against Adam Copeland from a few weeks ago and I thought he again proved he could hang with a top talent like Moxley. Even though the outcome was never in doubt, I thoroughly enjoyed this as an opener and appreciated that it received as much time as it did so Moriarty could be made to look credible in defeat. Konosuke Takeshita def. Christopher DanielsI would've wanted to see this be a more competitive contest a few years ago, but considering the current circumstances, it made sense to book it as a straightforward squash for Takeshita. Daniels can still go at this stage of his career, but this was all about building up Takeshita ahead of his match with Chris Jericho on the February 7th edition of Dynamite. I hope he wins that, but I'm not holding my breath. Anna Jay def. Ruby SohoI like that we've gotten something of a story with Jay, Soho, Angelo Parker and The Outcasts as of late as it has kept them all busy, but it's mostly silly stuff and your interest may vary. It doesn't do much for me, personally, but I applaud the effort, nonetheless. The match was decent and hopefully Jay can start to build momentum again following this win. Having her part ways with the Jericho Appreciation Society rejects was a positive development as well. AAA Cruiserweight Champion Komander def. Kip Sabian, The Butcher and AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo in an AEW International Championship No. 1 Contender's Four-Way Match (Non-Title)I'm sorry but this had no business being the main event on this show. It had some fun moments, but we see so much of this stuff on AEW and even ROH TV that it's difficult to care, especially when none of these guys are important players at the moment in either promotion. Worse yet, we know Orange Cassidy isn't losing the International title before Revolution, so what's the point? This was well wrestled but didn't excite me any, especially since Komander never wins whenever it matters most. Overall ShowMore power to you if you dug the main event, but it felt like something you'd see on your typical throwaway edition of Rampage, and if they want this show to be more meaningful, they need to avoid doing matches like that. Otherwise, this was a nice show. The women's match was what it needed to be, Takeshita picked up a victory and Moxley vs. Moriarty was easily the best bout of the night.
