By RJ Marceau (Senior Diva Columnist) In a week, the biggest show of the year WrestleMania 32 will be live at AT&T Stadium. Even though I am excited for the show it has missed the storytelling. Besides the Divas Triple Threat and Shane vs. Undertaker there are no stories to any of these other matches. The Ladder match is a cluster, Reigns & HHH just brawl in the parking lot and Lesnar has destroyed Ambrose every time they have crossed paths. Kalisto vs. Ryback, Usos vs. Dudley Boyz, the 10 women tag match and The New Day vs. League of Nations are matches we could see on Raw. It doesn’t help that these people have crossed paths multiple times now in the past few months so fans aren’t interested in another grudge match. When I look at the card I think there are only two matches that could steal the show. The Triple Threat Divas Title match and Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose are the two matches that I think have the ability to steal the show. When choosing between the two I gave the nod to the Triple Threat because it isn’t one of the 3 marquee matches. Also I think it would be the perfect match to open the show and get the crowd excited for the rest of the show.

By Graham "GSM" Matthews Here on WrestleMania Recall, I will be ranking my top 31 favorite matches in WWE WrestleMania history. A new installment will be posted every day in the month of March, culminating with my No. 1 favorite match on Thursday, March 31st, mere days before WrestleMania 32. Each article will offer an in-depth look at each match and an analysis of why it is among my favorites. I discussed this briefly when I spotlighted Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar early on in the series, but it has always boggled my mind that WrestleMaina 19 generated as low of a buyrate as it did. I mean, just look at the star-studded card! You had Angle vs. Lesnar in the main event for the WWE Championship, Hulk Hogan vs. Mr. McMahon, The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (in what we later learned was Stone Cold's last match), and Triple H vs. Booker T for the World Heavyweight Championship. And those were only the main events! In my opinion, the greatest match on the show came in the undercard between Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho. At any other event, this easily could have been the main event as it was five years later at No Mercy 2008. They had one of the greatest rivalries in the history of WWE that year, but fans tend to forget that they clashed at WrestleMania 19 as well and contested one of the best-wrestled and beautifully-crafted 'Mania matches of all-time, and could you really expect anything less from HBK and Y2J? RJ’s Two Cents - 5 Best/Worst Booked WWE Superstars & Divas Since WrestleMania 31: Edition #33/26/2016 By RJ Marceau Over the past year, the landscape of the WWE has taken twists and turns with Superstars and Divas being featured in prominent roles and now on the outside looking in. This is the 3rd edition of this series. I decided to not include injured wrestlers because even if they had great 2015 we don’t know how they would be booked going into WrestleMania 32. It may however include Superstars or Divas that debuted after WrestleMania 31. By Graham "GSM" Matthews Jack Swagger def. Tyler Breeze These two have worked well together whenever they have gone one-on-one, but this bout seemed to be better than their past encounters. There wasn't a dull moment as both guys put forth a very good effort and hit most of their signature spots. Breeze eating another loss didn't surprise me, but it continues to disappoint me. Why he isn't in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match at WrestleMania is beyond me. Then again, what about Swagger? Wasn't he contending for the United States Championship a few short months ago? United States Champion Kalisto def. Konnor (Non-title) Kalisto and Konnor have clashed countless times in the past in tag team action, so they have great chemistry by this point. Granted, The Ascension have zero credibility, but Kalisto works best against bigger opponents, so he was able to get a fun match out of Konnor. I especially enjoyed the finishing sequence with Kalisto hitting the Salida del Sol from the ring apron. It's cool he's competing on Superstars for the show's sake, but for his sake, he should be featured more prominently on Raw if WWE wants to get him over as a singles act. |
