![]() By Graham "GSM" Matthews Jack Swagger def. Tyler Breeze These two have worked well together whenever they have gone one-on-one, but this bout seemed to be better than their past encounters. There wasn't a dull moment as both guys put forth a very good effort and hit most of their signature spots. Breeze eating another loss didn't surprise me, but it continues to disappoint me. Why he isn't in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match at WrestleMania is beyond me. Then again, what about Swagger? Wasn't he contending for the United States Championship a few short months ago? United States Champion Kalisto def. Konnor (Non-title) Kalisto and Konnor have clashed countless times in the past in tag team action, so they have great chemistry by this point. Granted, The Ascension have zero credibility, but Kalisto works best against bigger opponents, so he was able to get a fun match out of Konnor. I especially enjoyed the finishing sequence with Kalisto hitting the Salida del Sol from the ring apron. It's cool he's competing on Superstars for the show's sake, but for his sake, he should be featured more prominently on Raw if WWE wants to get him over as a singles act. Overall Show
With two entertaining back-to-back matches on Superstars, you can't go wrong with this week's edition. Breeze and Swagger produced a very well-wrestled match while Kalisto vs. Konnor was a nice treat. Feel free to skip over the Raw replays (very little of the show was particularly good), but these two matches are worth watching if you have 15 minutes to kill. |
