Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward def. Bryson Montana and Damaris GriffinBless Chase U for being as over with this crowd as they are. I still find the whole gimmick to be stupid and don't care for either Chase or Hayward, but at least the crowd isn't quiet for their matches, so there's that. This is random but I interviewed either Montana and Griffin right after they were signed by WWE last August at the Las Vegas tryouts over SummerSlam weekend. I honestly don't who is who because of their new names, but they held their own in there. This was fine for the time given.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Riddle Attacked Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The UsosThe Usos started out their promo pandering to the audience and acting genuine before flipping the script and crapping all over them to good heat. Nakamura and Riddle both had their partners "injured" by The Bloodline in storyline, so it makes sense for them to join forces in the meantime. I don't want them winning the tag titles from The Usos, but at least this mini feud will keep them busy until Riddle challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at some point. This was a solid segment to start the show.
Bryan Danielson def. Matt SydalI was worried when Danielson wasn't in action on Wednesday's Dynamite that he was still hurt after getting his leg stuck in the ring apron on Friday's Rampage. Thankfully, nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary about the showing he had here. He talked a bit more about the accident and his status in our interview this week if you want to check that out. The match itself was great stuff. Danielson is always a blast to watch and Sydal can still hang with the best of them. This felt like a warm-up for Danielson to make sure he's good to go for Double or Nothing.
Trey Miguel def. Alex Shelley to Qualify for the Impact X-Division Championship Ultimate X Match at SlammiversaryBoth of these guys are great, so this was unsurprisingly a highly entertaining opener. Shelley is obviously seasoned and incredibly talented, so Miguel gains something from beating him. Granted, Miguel is already established, but this is a positive sign that he won't be completely lost in the shuffle after losing the Impact X-Division Championship last month. This was the exciting action the X-Division is known for and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it in Ultimate X.
