United States Champion Austin Theory def. SheamusI'm surprised this wasn't saved for Night of Champions on Saturday considering the gimmick of the event used to be that every active title needed to be defended, but it made for a nice attraction on this show. This was a fresh match and I thought they worked well together. The feud just got started, so hopefully there's more to come between these two and the outside interference Pretty Deadly costing Sheamus the win indicates that it will. I will say, though, Theory continuing to come off as the afterthought in these title defenses has done him no favors.

Pre-Show: The Death Dollz def. Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Coven (Non-Title)Rosemary has transformed into Courtney Rush, so this was a slightly different match than we've seen from these teams before. I thought it was weird that this was non-title, but I guess them winning here makes sense as it explains why Death Dollz would eventually get another title shot. Like most matches in the Knockouts tag team division, this wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was decent enough and the crowd liked Rosemary's new alter-ego.
Chris Sabin def. "Speedball" Mike BaileyLike the commentators mentioned, it wouldn't be fair to call this a showcase for Sabin before he faces Trey Miguel for the Impact X-Division Championship at Under Siege. Bailey absolutely pushed Sabin to his limit and looked stellar in defeat. This was a wonderful opener with both guys coming away from it looking great. Bailey may not be doing much right now, but this was a really good use of him.
MLW World Tag Team Champion Juicy Finau def. Damian 666 and Crazy Frank in a Three-Way Tijuana Street FightThis was an absolute mess, and not even in a fun or exciting way. There was loads of interference and it was difficult to follow what exactly was going on. The finish seemed to be executed well, but everything else was either slow or disjointed. On top of all that, it served no purpose and there was no setup. The crowd seemed to enjoy it, so at least there was that, but I personally didn't enjoy this whatsoever. This would have been better for just the live crowd instead of airing on the show.
Mark Briscoe def. JD DrakeThe Workhoresmen are a very talented team, but Drake and Anthony Henry are also very good on their own as well. Granted, they never win their singles matches, but at least you can expect a quality contest whenever they're in action like we got here. Briscoe has mentioned before he still has his sights set on the ROH World Television Championship and this gets him one step closer to that.
