Kenny King def. chuckie T.King can always be counted on for a quality contest and Chuckie T. never ceases to capture the attention of the audience, so although both are babyfaces, they put together a real fun match here with an engaged crowd. It wasn't a technical masterpiece, but I enjoyed it, nonetheless. King built momentum with the victory and it was later announced that he'll be battling Austin Aries at next Friday's Best in the World pay-per-view. Shane Taylor def. Josh "The Goods" WoodsTaylor and Woods have been at odds for a few weeks and I'm not exactly sure why. Taylor has been on a tear for a while now and should be running through his opponents with ease, but why Woods? Ring of Honor was obviously high enough on him to have him win the Top Prospect Tournament last year, yet he hasn't done nothing of note since. It didn't help that this wasn't that good of a match, either, and the crowd didn't seem to care.

Drew Gulak def. Lince DoradoGulak has had his problems with the Lucha House Party as of late and has seemingly been on a mission to tap all of them out one-on-one. Well, he finally accomplished that feat by beating Dorado here in what was another good match from them. It had a nice, consistent pace and Dorado scored his fair share of offense before eating defeat. That was refreshing to see since he was positioned as an enhancement talent on this show for so long before recently. TJP vs. Local Athlete Went to a No ContestTJP continues to complain about being underutilized on 205 Live and campaign for a roster spot on Raw, SmackDown Live or NXT. Hell, he didn't even want to face the local athlete he was slated to compete against this week! TJP plays the a-hole role perfectly and has finally found his footing as a heel. This has been going on for a while now, so here's hoping there is an endgame in sight and he doesn't keep spinning his wheels forever because Creative doesn't know where they're going with this.
SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella Attacked AsukaCarmella's mic skills are hit or miss more often than not, and unfortunately, this wasn't one of her better promos. It didn't help that she played the "humble" card before turning on the crowd soon after, which is exactly what Alexa Bliss did on Monday's Raw, and thus no one in the audience bought into it here. We were all hoping for some sort of an explanation for why James Ellsworth is back despite her turning on him late last year, but no such luck. It looks like this feud is continuing, so hopefully it will eventually end with Asuka taking the title from Carmella. Becky Lynch def. Billie KayThe IIconics have yet to impress me in any way since being called up to the main roster a few months ago, but this was easily the best one-on-one in-ring performance I've seen Kay have, either on SmackDown Live or in NXT. It was a well-wrestled affair with the right result as Lynch begins to work her way back up the ladder to title contention. I can tell you firsthand that Lynch was insanely over in Chicago at Money in the Bank, so here's hoping she is more of a focal point in the blue brand's women's division moving forward.
Tony Nese def. Gran MetalikVic Joseph noted on commentary that these two were among the first few competitors to join the early incarnation of WWE's Cruiserweight division back in 2016, which blows my mind. It was a totally different division back then than it is now. Nevertheless, this was a fun little match while it lasted with good work from both guys. I was surprised Nese went over if only because the Lucha House Party is more of a staple on 205 Live these days than Nese is. The Authors of Pain def. BreezangoReportedly, Authors of Pain have been off TV recently because of a visa issue they were dealing with, but they have been ready to go for a little bit now and they still aren't on Raw. It's a shame because they are one of the better teams the Raw tag team division has to offer at the moment. Nevertheless, this was a glorified squash with Authors of Pain completely dominating Breezango. I just wish this could have aired on Raw to remind viewers they haven't been released.
