By RJ Marceau I won’t go on a big rant about the Survivor Series match between Brock and Goldberg because it happened and I’m moving on. My quick thoughts are I would have done it differently with Brock winning in a brawl. Part timers for me should be fighting superstars they have never fought before. Brock vs. Goldberg is cool but we saw it 12 years ago. Back to my main point, Brock wins and Goldberg leaves. Brock comes out the next night bragging about being a beast and how he is entering the 2017 Royal Rumble match. Leading into the Royal Rumble, Brock isn’t on TV but his advocate Paul Heyman is talking up Brock. Weeks leading up to the Rumble he continues to run into Braun Strowman backstage. Strowman says he can beat Lesnar and will toss Brock out of the Rumble. Heyman laughs it off and continues on his way.

By Graham "GSM" Matthews Bo Dallas def. Sin Cara This was a pretty basic matchup for the most part with Dallas on offense, Cara making a comeback, and Dallas ultimately scoring the victory. It wasn't a good match, it wasn't a bad match (and no, it wasn't THE match), it was just kind of there. Par for the course is what this contest was, essentially. Cara continues to be punished presumably for his fight backstage with Chris Jericho a few weeks ago while the serious side of Dallas doesn't do much for me. I appreciate him changing up the character, but I believe he's damaged goods by this point. The Shining Stars def. Curtis Axel and Darren Young It was kind of cool for Tom Phillips to point out on commentary at the start of the matchup that Axel and Young were once members of The Nexus (just not at the same time). As an avid fan of The Nexus, I apppreciated him acknowleding that. This match was a bit better than Dallas vs. Cara if only because it was something different. Axel and Young are an interesting tandem, but I doubt it will be permanent. The Shining Stars bore me to tears, but I didn't hate that they won here given they're an actual tag team. By Graham "GSM" Matthews United States Champion Roman Reigns Interrupted WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho on The Highlight Reel While I don't typically enjoy talking segments opening Raw, Jeri-KO are absolutely amazing together, and I actually groaned when Reigns got involved because he put an end to the entertainment. I guess it was a nice change for Reigns to get some mic time for once, and I will admit Owens is the best in the business at recovering from flubbed lines (Jericho saying English was Owens' second language had me in stitches). They once again teased tension here, but they did the same thing last week and it was a ruse, so why would this be any different ultimately? Braun Strowman def. R-Truth When I got Strowman in my Royal Rumble Game earlier this year and he became my unofficial new "favorite" wrestler for 2016, I didn't think he would ever grow on me the way he has. WWE deserves credit for doing such a good job of building him up since the Brand Extension started because he truly comes off like a monster heel. Furthermore, I loved the fire Sami Zayn showed in his post-match promo while Mick Foley continued his streak of disappointing mic work with his front teeth (?) popping out. By RJ Marceau What’s up guys, I am back with my fourth installment of my current Top 5 favorite WWE NXT Superstars countdown. I did my first installment in April 2015, second installment in October 2015 and my last installment in April 2016. The turnover has been great with everyone being called up to the main roster except four superstars. You can check my past installments by clicking the hyperlinks above. This list will have familiar faces to past installments and we will dive in with the usual honorable mention.
