By RJ Marceau I won’t go on a big rant about the Survivor Series match between Brock and Goldberg because it happened and I’m moving on. My quick thoughts are I would have done it differently with Brock winning in a brawl. Part timers for me should be fighting superstars they have never fought before. Brock vs. Goldberg is cool but we saw it 12 years ago. Back to my main point, Brock wins and Goldberg leaves. Brock comes out the next night bragging about being a beast and how he is entering the 2017 Royal Rumble match. Leading into the Royal Rumble, Brock isn’t on TV but his advocate Paul Heyman is talking up Brock. Weeks leading up to the Rumble he continues to run into Braun Strowman backstage. Strowman says he can beat Lesnar and will toss Brock out of the Rumble. Heyman laughs it off and continues on his way. In the Royal Rumble match, Brock enters 25th. He is tossing all the jobbers out and even tosses out John Cena. #28 comes out and it’s Braun Strowman. Strowman enters the ring and Lesnar is the only man standing. They square off and they are going back and forth. Lesnar gets Braun against the ropes and goes to clothesline him out. Strowman grabs Brock and similar to how he tossed AJ at Survivor Series, just absolute manhandles Brock and tosses him over the top rope. The rest of the superstars are in shock as Braun turns his attention to them. Brock slide back in the ring and tosses Braun in an angry rampage. Throws Braun into the steel steps, beats him with a chair and ends his beating with a spear through the barricade. Next night on Raw, Strowman and Brock are both off of Raw with Lesnar just not being scheduled and Strowman recovering from the beating. Heyman comes out and talks about how Strowman got lucky and was able to toss Lesnar. The beating Brock handed him shows he is the true beast in the WWE. Strowman comes out the next week pleading for Brock Lesnar’s ass or he will destroy the entire roster. Foley comes out and says he isn’t here tonight. Strowman goes backstage and destroys Golden Truth and The Shining Stars. The next week Heyman comes out and tells Braun that if he wants to face Brock that he must defeat one of his former clients at Fastlane, The Big Show. The WWE wants to do Braun vs. Big Show eventually so blowing it off at Fastlane would be ideal. Braun enters the program with Big Show and beats him at Fastlane. The next night Braun comes out and demands Lesnar. Heyman comes out and says you want Brock then you will get him. Lesnar comes through the crowd and gives him another absolute beating. Brock and Heyman come out to address Braun three weeks before WrestleMania. They call Braun out but he isn’t at Raw. He is actually in Saskatchewan, Canada at the Lesnar residence. He goes into Brock's house breaking all his valuables, scaring his family and says you want revenge then face me at WrestleMania 33. The match is booked and they face at WrestleMania 33 in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Braun and Brock have a brutal brawl which stuns the fans who are expecting a bad match. The match goes all over the Citrus Bowl and finds its way back into the ring. Lesnar has Braun set up for an F5 and Heyman low blows Brock. Strowman hits his finisher, 1, 2, 3. Braun is the guy to beat Lesnar and Braun becomes the new Paul Heyman Guy. Unfortunately this won’t happen because they are fixated on a 39-year-old Brock Lesnar vs. a 49-year-old Goldberg for the third time. If the third match is good then I won’t be mad but using Brock vs. rising superstars should be how he is used.
