Tommaso Ciampa Interrupted Undisputed EraThe NXT "rally" of sorts was actually pretty damn cool, especially since it illustrated the importance of NXT's dominance over Raw and SmackDown at Survivor Series. There wasn't anything on the line, mind you, but at least their wins aren't being ignored. Josiah Williams of Wrestle and Flow fame (he also rapped Adam Cole to the ring at TakeOver: XXV in June) did a terrific job of rallying the NXT troops before Undisputed Era interrupted. They took credit for the brand's success over Survivor Series weekend, but before Ciampa could officially challenge Cole for the NXT Championship, Finn Balor emerged and announced his intentions of acting as a roadblock between him and the title. I'm not usually high on promos kicking off wrestling shows, but this was a strong segment that served to set up the night's main event of Ciampa vs. Balor and segue into the NXT Tag Team Championship match. NXT Tag Team Champions Undisputed era def. Dominik Dijakovic and Keith LeeBobby Fish was legitimately injured early on, so Roderick Strong filled in for him halfway through while still in street clothes. Amazing! I really want a prolonged program between these two teams, so while I wasn't a big fan of this being blown off with a clean finish on this show, it was a hell of a tag team title clash. The action was exciting and Lee and Dijakovic unsurprisingly had tremendous chemistry together as partners. I appreciated that Lee wasn't pinned following his breakout performance at Survivor Series, and at least fans will remember him sending Cole into the front row with that beautiful shoulder block.

#AskGSM Edition #313: Survivor Series Main Event Reaction, Keith Lee's Future, WWE NXT, More11/27/2019 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews, answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:
ROH World Television Champion Shane Taylor and ROH World Champion Rush def. Dalton Castle and Matt TavenPer the theme of ROH The Experience (where this match took place), the fans got to pick the partners. Taylor and Rush made for a formidable duo, while it was interesting to see Castle and Taven pair up given their history. This was a well wrestled tag team match where all four guys got to shine at one point or another. I fully expected Rush to win for his team, so Taylor scoring the victory instead was a pleasant surprise. I really hope Ring of Honor keeps him around once his contract reportedly expires at the beginning of 2020. Dak draper def. Ryan NovaI honestly forgot Draper won the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament a few months ago. In fact, I don't think he's been featured on anything major (including the weekly television show) since then. I haven't seen enough of him to get a good grasp on how talented he is, but nothing about him stood out as special in this match. It was a pretty standard squash that gave Draper a decent win, but only 10 people in the crowd seemed to care.
Rapid Delivery Pete (Rich Swann) def. Rip Rayzer (Ace Austin)Swann's gimmick was that he was a pizza delivery man who wrestled with no shoes on while Austin looked like a discount Shannon Moore. This could have been a really good match if they took it seriously, but it quickly became apparent that they were going for laughs and didn't intend on having an actual competitive contest. The crowd are up Rapid Delivery Pete, so there was that. Downtown Daddy Brown (Willie Mack) Attacked International Commonwealth Television Champion Julian Cumberbun (Ethan Page) and Sonny Sanders (Sami Callihan)Callihan's cosplay of Jim Cornette was hilarious if you're aware of the real life bad blood between the two. He actually played the part of Page's manager pretty well. Speaking of Ethan, he was perfect as Julian Cumberbun and was super believable in his role. Mack was very likable as Downtown Daddy Down and was the last man standing in this segment after Cumberbun and Sanders attempted to attack him.
