Judging by the current state of WWE right now, with several of their top stars injured, and likely to miss WrestleMania some might be inclined to think it is desperation time. There are still 65 days until the big event. Some things still have not been finalized at this point, so it is not as if we know what we are getting, and if it's crappy, or not what we want. Again, though looking forward realistically, do not expect Seth Rollins to come back by then. It is always a possibility with John Cena that the trigger may be pulled, but it would still be somewhat unexpected. With that in mind, here are my top 3 "Desperation time matches" for WrestleMania.
#3 Chris Jericho vs. Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
I'm not sure how much the fact that Jericho would be involved in this match changes the feeling of it since we have already seen Brock and Triple H at Mania, and probably saw them feud longer than they really needed, but for some reason I am sold on it. To my knowledge, I can't think of much history between the "Beast Incarnate" and Chris Jericho.
#2 Chris Jericho and Big Show vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose
Sort of a reuniting of Jerishow and the Shield in one (with the exception of Rollins). Okay, I am not a big fan of the Big Show but the domination of their alliance is enough for me. Again, in this case as above, I am sold on the addition of Jericho. The Shield should and will be remembered as one of the most dominant stables in WWE history.
#1 Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Austin Aries for the Intercontinental Championship
With the merging of the World Heavyweight and WWE Titles, it is up to WWE to make sure they continue to build up the midcard titles correctly. This would definitely ensure that they do. Unlike the other two matches in this article, you can't really gripe about a thing, at least I can't. Tell me you wouldn't go crazy about this match. That's what I thought.
