 United States Champion Antonio Cesaro takes Sheamus to the limit. Fine match between World Heavyweight Champion Big Show and R-Truth. Truth sold well for Truth and it was basically a step up from a glorified squash. Truth's gotten enough momentum up to this point, so the loss didn't really harm him. United States Champion Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus helped hype their match together for later in the show. Good match with Team Rhodes Scholars defeating the Usos. The promo from Rhodes and Sandow prior to the bout was solid, but I was hoping for the Usos to get some mic time as well. The action was fun while it lasted, but it could've easily gone longer. It was a nice victory for Team Rhodes Scholars going into WWE TLC. Lame segment involving World Heavyweight Champion Big Show, David Otunga and Sheamus. What purpose did this serve besides killing time? If there's one thing I extremely dislike in wrestling, it's legal angles, especially involving Otunga. To make matter even worse, Show came off as a coward as he scurried away, destroying any momentum he had as the monster he was being built as. Also, is Otunga contractually obligated to take at least one Brogue Kick a month? Smart booking by having The Shield attack Randy Orton backstage. The Shield has been on a major roll since debuting at Survivor Series last month, and this attack was a win-win situation for both parties involved. It gives The Shield more heat going into their huge six-man TLC tag team match on Sunday, while it simultaneously writes Orton off television for the time being as his real-life injury heals. Horrendous match between Kaitlyn and Aksana. The action was drawn out for no apparent reason, and this would've been the only instance where I wouldn't have complained about a Divas match being brief. Neither Kaitlyn nor Aksana are the best workers inside the squared circle, so why even bother booking this bout at all? It didn't accomplish anything since neither Diva are involved in an angle at the moment.  WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No are guests on Miz TV. Strong Miz TV segment guest starring WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No. As I've said in the past, Miz is progressively nicely as a babyface, but he wasn't the star here. Daniel Bryan and Kane did an excellent job of building towards their six-man TLC tag team match on Sunday, while The Shield's video was equally as awesome. This is the hype we should've seen on Raw this past week, but it's better late than never.
Throwaway eight-man tag team match with Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, The Great Khali and Hornswoggle defeating Primo, Epico and the Prime Time Players. Gabriel and Kidd were spotlighted nicely, but the involvement of Hornswoggle and Khali killed it for me. I still don't understand why they're together aside from the fact the younger audience adores them. They add absolutely nothing to the tag team division. It's a true shame the heels involved in this match were put in such a terrible position. This is yet another example of WWE attempting to kill time with a meaningless match. Great match with Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston defeating Alberto Del Rio. These two always work well together given their fantastic chemistry. The action was fact-paced and both guys looked strong coming out of it. Del Rio isn't doing anything at the moment, so I was glad to see Kingston go over clean here. His post-match Trouble in Paradise to Wade Barrett at ringside was also a sight to see. Solid match between Sheamus and United States Champion Antonio Cesaro. This wasn't as good as their match from Raw from a few weeks ago, but I still enjoyed the action while it lasted. That being said, it never felt like they entered the near stage of the bout and that the best was yet to come. Nonetheless, I was very happy to see Cesaro score the victory here via count-out, despite the fact that it was an afterthought once the show quickly concluded. Additionally, amazing acting from William Regal as he was being ambushed by Big Show. I was wondering where he disappeared to in this story-line and I'm ecstatic to see him involved once again. Overall, a throwaway episode up until the final half hour. The final two matches and the Miz TV segment were all worth watching, but the entire episode as a whole was mostly garbage and filler. However, there was some good hype for TLC on Sunday and entertaining aspects of this week's SmackDown that didn't make it completely pointless.
