 The Miz finally scores a pin-fall victory over IC Champ Kofi Kingston. Entertaining Miz TV segment featuring The Miz, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston, Sheamus and World Heavyweight Champion Big Show to kick off the show. There wasn't much out of the ordinary here, but everyone played their roles well. I'm enjoying Show's new character and I'm glad his feud with Sheamus has finally taken a turn for the better. This segment also effectively set up the main event tag team match between the four competitors later in the night. Fine match between Darren Young and Sin Cara. It involved good action, but the crowd wasn't all that into it. They work well together and the match was neither too long or too short. However, it's a nice victory for Young, as it gives both the Prime Time Players a much-needed momentum booster. Decent match between Rey Mysterio and Titus O'Neil. While this match was indeed shorter than the previous bout, the crowd was more involved mostly since Mysterio was one of the combatants. The finish was well done in giving Mysterio the victory but also protecting O'Neil at the same time with the roll-up. They made the most of the brief time they were given and also added more fuel to the fire in this tag team feud. Yet another solid match between Wade Barrett and Randy Orton. The match wasn't all that exciting mostly because we saw the same exact match on both Raw and SmackDown in the last week, but these two are incapable of having a bad match. Smart booking by allowing Barrett to go over while also incorporating Orton's rival Alberto Del Rio as well. Sure, Barrett's victory wasn't clean, but it was a win nonetheless that will give him more credibility as he ascends to the top of the blue brand. The backstage brawl that followed the bout between Del Rio and Orton was fun and gave viewers a preview of their upcoming Falls Count Anywhere match on next week's Super SmackDown live special.  Ricardo Rodriguez distracts Randy Orton as Wade Barrett recuperates. Throwaway match with The Great Khali quickly defeating David Otunga. The match was basically what you'd expect, as neither Otunga nor Khali are the world's greatest wrestlers. As much as I dislike Khali's in-ring abilities, I'm glad to see him back from surgery sooner than expected. On a side note, I'm not exactly what Khali's post-match flirtation with Natalya was, but it didn't do anything for this viewer regardless.
Meaningless match between R-Truth and Justin Gabriel. As pointless as the match might've been, the action itself was actually pretty good. The crowd seemed to enjoy it for the mere minutes it lasted and it was a nice win for Truth as he looks to contend for the United States Championship in the near future. I'm not sure if this is foreshadowing a heel turn for Gabriel, but I surely hope this was just a one-off thing. Good main event tag team match with World Heavyweight Champion Big Show and The Miz defeating Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston and Sheamus. The action wasn't extrodinary, but it was successful in furthering the feuds involved and to finally give Miz a victory over Kingston. Sure, he was on the receiving end of a Brogue Kick shortly thereafter, but it helps reignite the aggression in Sheamus' character, which is long overdue. I'm glad his rivalry with Big Show is finally picking up steam and is slowly garnering my interesting, as the continuation of their feud going into Survivor Series could be a fun story to tell. Overall, a good edition of SmackDown that featured a combination of smart booking and some nice action. Nothing on this show was worth a second look and if you missed it, you didn't miss much, but it was an enjoyable two hours as a whole. Some of the matches and segments I could've done without, but nothing was bad to the point where it hurt my viewing experiences. Additionally, I am highly anticipating the Super SmackDown live special next Tuesday night, as the Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton Falls Count Anywhere match has the potential to be great and the England crowd should once again provide an electric environment.
