Hours Before Raw - January 7, 2013

We are just hours away from the first Monday Night Raw of 2013. Tonight The Rock will return just weeks away from his match at the Royal Rumble against the WWE Champion. Im personally not a member of Team Bring It. I watched alot of his old matches and they were great but I guess if The Rock were to return as a active superstar maybe he could change my mind. Im sure The Rock will cut a promo in mid-show maybe a few matches away from the WWE Championship match. 

After losing the Intercontinental Championship on the New Years Eve edition of Raw last week Kofi Kingston is looking for another chance. Hopefully Wade Barrett will move onto bigger and better things and that's a new rivalry. Now onto the tag team division. Team Hell No are going no where right now, the only revival WWE has is Team Rhodes Scholars. Team Hell No should disband and put Daniel Bryan in the Intercontinental picture but because of their hilarious disagreements it wont happen. Im rooting for Team Rhodes Scholars as the next Tag Team Champions. 

The Shield has been randomly picking out superstars including the likes of Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, Randy Orton, and their most recent attack Sheamus. I thought The Shield had more potential then this feud with Ryback and Team Hell No so Im loving what WWE is doing so far. Last week at Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee's New Years toast John Cena spoiled the fun by drowning the new couple in a muddy like substance. Since Big E Langston was inches away from John Cena who was on the entrance ramp He should have went after him. In the past week members of the WWE Universe reported that John Cena and Dolph Ziggler have been putting on amazing matches at house shows like their match at Madison Square Garden in a steel cage. Maybe Vickie Guerrero would make a steel cage match to keep Big E Langston out of the action and obviously to get back at Ziggler and AJ. 

Antonio Cesaro so far hasnt been in any interesting feuds so im not sure what is next for the United States Champion. I never really digged his "US Hater" gimmick from the start. But In much bigger news last week on Main Event WWE Champion CM Punk was medically cleared to face Ryback in a Tables Ladders and Chairs match later tonight. Well its possible considering CM Punk couldnt even make it into the ring on his own last saturday at the raw taping. I hoping CM Punk can and will retain the WWE Champion to have held it for 414 days. When You think about it im sure The Shield will have a part in the decision of this match. Overall im hoping for a excellent match.
