As many of you are aware by now my name is RJ Marceau and I am a huge fan of the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion Settthhh Roooollinnns. Tried my best Paul Heyman impersonation there so hope it worked. This Sunday, Rollins will pull double duty facing John Cena and Sting. Rollins has been WWE World Heavyweight Champion since WrestleMania and has been a good champion. He has had good matches with Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Neville. When it comes down to how he should be booked on Sunday, there are only 2 scenarios that seem plausible.

1. Rollins retains WWE World Heavyweight Championship but loses U.S. Championship

If Rollins loses the U.S. title to John Cena it wouldn’t hurt him at all. If they wanted him to be the first ever U.S. and WWE Champion and then take it off of him the next month I wouldn’t have a problem with it. I don’t see him losing the title to Sting. The only way Rollins will lose on Sunday is if Sheamus cashes in his contract. A lot of people are saying that Sheamus will be the new face of the Authority and have him cash in on Rollins. Honestly that is a good idea but have Rollins beat Sheamus and turn face heading into a program with HHH. This could lead to HHH vs. Rollins at Survivor Series for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. If Rollins wins, the Authority are out of power. This could rewrite their decision from last year to have the Authority out and come back in a month.

2. Rollins retains both belts

There is no way that losing both belts makes sense for Rollins or would benefit him at all. As the top heel in the WWE, he would plateau if he lost both titles. I assume he would get his rematches but double duty again and what would be the purpose of losing the titles just regain the next month. Rollins being dual champion would be interesting to see how creative books him.

I have seen people predict him retaining the U.S. title and losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but he would have to turn face by the end of the night to have a run with star spangled strap. He has fought basically every babyface as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As a face, he could wrestle fresh opponents then if he stays heel. I have seen people say HHH vs. Rollins at WM 32 but I think Shield Triple Threat is the money match for Rollins right now at 'Mania. HHH vs. Rollins at Survivor Series with a possible Taker vs. Lesnar III could get high buys/subscriptions for the last big 4 PPV of the year.
