How to Book Tyler Breeze on WWE Main Roster

For over five years, Tyler Breeze has been under contract with the WWE. He started off as an enhancement talent under the name Mike Dalton. He started in WWE’s old developmental program FCW and transferred over to NXT. He still was an enhancement talent and wasn’t getting anywhere. In 2013, WWE officials told him that he needed a new character or gimmick. If he couldn’t find a new character he would be granted his future endeavors. He decided to come up with a model who takes selfies and is very arrogant. Triple H suggested that he use an iPhone to take selfies to make his character more modern.

Breeze has been over with the NXT crowd since his repackaging but he is seen as a “stepping stone” for the new NXT arrivals. He has put over Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, Hideo Itami, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.  He has lost multiple NXT Championship title chances so he is looked at as a LOSER!!! He is 1-5 at NXT TakeOver specials and hasn’t won at a special since his first NXT TakeOver on May 29th, 2014.

This week on Thursday Night SmackDown, Tyler Breeze made his debut on the main roster. He appeared on MizTV joining Summer Rae and attacking Dolph Ziggler. How I would book Breeze on the main roster would start on Sunday at Hell in a Cell. During John Cena’s United States Open Challenge, he does the whole "you want some come get some" crap and Dolph Ziggler’s music hits. But there’s no Dolph. The camera pans to the backstage area with Ziggler being attended to by WWE officials. HHH yells at someone saying, "Since you did this get out there." Camera focuses on furry boots.

After that you hear "Hey everybody look its Tyler” and Tyler Breeze accepts the United States open which he wins with help from Summer Rae. He becomes the next United States Champion and Cena takes time off. As champion he already has a feud with Dolph Ziggler and one with Rusev due to his alignment with Summer Rae. Breeze winning would make him important right off the bat and would be something he has deserved for putting practically every babyface over in NXT. His gimmick could restrict how high on the main roster he gets but he’s a good enough wrestler and over enough that he could change his gimmick a little bit to be seen as a main event threat.
