![]() By Greg Lowenthal Hey guys, I'm going to keep this week's edition of the Lowdown short and sweet since I don't feel like doing too much writing. Raw wasn't all that interesting but because of the buildup heading into Payback, what will interest me the most will be the feud between Evolution and The Shield. I am hoping that this buildup will allow for a truly monumental match between the two factions and allow for a truly spectacular main event (or so I hope). SmackDown is proving to me why it is the better of the two WWE television shows to watch. I'm convinced that Sheamus will be one of the best United States Champions the WWE has had in a while. I'm also convinced that he is a fighting champion and will defend that belt vigorously. Impact Wrestling definitely had its low point this week. It seems the character development between MVP and Eric Young is a mimicry of the feud between "The Authority" and Daniel Bryan, something I wasn't all that big of a fan of beforehand. So it seems like Impact Wrestling is following the WWE in terms of character development and the storylines (at least to me that's what it seems like).
Also, I have a beef with the character of Willow (Jeff Hardy's alter ego). It would seem as though Hardy is attempting to reinvent himself (as most wrestlers do during their careers) but this seems like an epic fail in my opinion because I am DEFINITELY not buying this character at all. (Editor's note: This blog has been kept short due to the writer battling an illness for the past few days. Next week's blog may be longer.) |
