By Graham "GSM" Matthews Johnny Mundo def. Angelico Due to having similar styles, Mundo and Angelico produced a very fun match to kick off the show. One may argue that the constant kickouts and nearfalls were a bit much by the end and I can agree with that to an extent, but it kept the crowd engaged and kept the pace consistent throughout. Since Angelico hasn't won many matches as of late, he wasn't a realistic threat to Mundo, but from an in-ring standpoint, it was very entertaining as I mentioned and Angelico looked good in defeat. Drago def. Aerostar in Match 4 in a Best of 5 Series I've been really enjoying the series of matches these two have been having in recent months, but this match was a slight disappointment. That's not due to the match being bad, but rather because it was far too short. It felt like it was just getting started when it abruptly ended. The ending outcome was never in doubt because you knew they were getting to that fifth fall, but perhaps they were saving the best for last and that's why this match was cut short. Big Ryck, Killshot and The Mack def. Sexy Star, Superfly and Pentagon Jr.
It's cool to see Ryck have a stable of his own, especially with The Mack (Willie Mack) involved as I've heard nothing but good things about him from his time on the independent scene, but are they supposed to be babyfaces or heels? Ryck appeared to be a babyface coming out of his feud with The Crew, but he along with the rest of the crew acted like heels here. Nevertheless, this was another solid bout with everyone involved having impressive performances. The final few minutes were very well done and the babyfaces didn't lose anything in defeat. Pentagon has been the most intriguing character for me to watch as of late and I'm curious as to who he feuds with next. On a side note, Mack was shined the most of everyone and I look forward to what else he brings to the table in the future. Overall Show The hour always seems to fly by, but this one especially so for some reason, likely because all three matches were fun and featured fantastic in-ring action. As noted, the Drago vs. Aerostar match wasn't given the time it deserved, but there might be a reason for that next week. The other two matches were quite good and this show was made newsworthy with the debut of Big Ryck's new faction and the announcement of a tournament for a new "trio" title starting next week which should be fun.
