Prince Puma def. Fenix in a Cueto Cup Semifinal MatchPuma's darker persona has led to more investment in his matches from me and this was no exception as he and Fenix killed it in an exciting affair. Puma has been positioned as a favorite to win the whole thing from the start, so Fenix was fighting an uphill battle and looked great in defeat. The only reason he lost was because of the interference from Marty "The Moth" Martinez, furthering that feud in the process. Pentagon Dark def. Mil Muertes in a Cueto Cup Semifinal MatchWhile this wasn't quite as good as the opener due to the heavy focus on Muertes' story with Cage (which is fine because that's a fresh feud), it was still very well-wrestled and featured stellar showings from both men. Pentagon is by far the biggest fan favorite in Lucha Underground right now, so I'm happy he's advancing to the finals. Pentagon vs. Puma should be an incredible bout. Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo and Rey Mysterio Went Face-to-FaceMysterio isn't the most tremendous talker, but he did well with what he was given here and Mundo's promo was solid as well. It successfully hyped up next week's huge Lucha Underground Championship match, and that would been an acceptable way to close out the show, but the brawl that ensued among members of the roster was a ton of fun and an amazing way to progress several storylines all at once. It's rare you see the entire roster out in the ring, so this was a special sight that the crowd was white-hot for. Overall ShowThis week's Cueto Cup matches were both above-average and set the stage for the finals next week nicely. Meanwhile, the Mundo and Mysterio confrontation spiraling out of control was wild and was one of the most exciting endings in Lucha Underground history. Next week's show looks stacked on paper, and not only that, the seeds have been planted for Ultima Lucha 3 and it might be the best installment yet.
