Pimpinela Escarlata def. Son of HavocBefore the bout, Havoc and Ivelisse cut a promo about how Havoc has been treated like a joke so far this season, first by facing a woman (Sexy Star) and then a midget (Mascarita Sagrada). He then issued an open challenge, which was accepted by an apparent transgender/cross-dresser competitor. Don't let that fool you, though. Escarlata can really go in the ring and this was an extremely exciting opener. Escarlata picked up the victory following interference and a distraction from Sagrada. Mil Muertes def. Famous BThis was way before Famous B became an agent of sorts. Instead, he wasn't much more than your typical enhancement talent. He stood no chance against Muertes, so of course, Muertes dominated a majority of the match and won with ease. I liked that Lucha Underground consistently featured Muertes on the show at this point and kept him unstoppable, building him up as a real force to be reckoned with. His mystique grows every week. King Cuerno def. DragoThis was a rematch from two weeks ago, which was won by Drago. Their original encounter, while well-wrestled, was decent at best, so I was happy they seemed to develop more in-ring chemistry this time around and produced a significantly better bout. Drago suffering another defeat was disappointing, but it was more important to have Cuerno avenge his loss to Drago from his debut. Dario Cueto Announced Prince Puma vs. Johnny Mundo vs. Big Ryck in a Ladder Match for Next WeekLucha Underground has done a good job with this three-way between Puma, Mundo and Ryck feud since the start of the season and it came to a head here. After what happened at the end of last week's main event, Puma and Mundo going at it only made sense, thus leading to Cueto announcing a three-way Ladder match for next week where the winner will earn the $100,000 that Cueto promised the winner of Puma vs. Mundo from the pilot episode. Sexy Star and Fenix def. Pentagon Jr. and Chavo GuerreroThe big story of this match was Star wanting to get her hands on Chavo so she could exact some revenge on him from when he attacked her at the start of the season, and once she did, it was a cool moment. The rest of the match was great with everyone having their time to shine at one point or another and it ended the evening on a high note. I could have done without Star pinning Pentagon to win, though, especially considering Pentagon lost his last two matches on the show. Overall ShowEscarlata's unique debut set the tone for this episode and everything else that followed was either equally enjoyable or effective in furthering a feud. Muertes killing dudes left and right has been a blast to watch so far, Cuerno bounced back by evening the score with Drago, a huge match was announced for next week, and the main event was a treat. All in all, this was a very entertaining episode that left me looking forward to next week's show.
