Samoan SWAT Team (Juicy Finau and Lance Anao'i) def. Los Aztecas
Unless this was already a thing and I'm just learning about it now, Jacob Fatu looks to be forming his own faction called Samoan SWAT Team consisting of himself, Finau and Anao'i and I'm all in. They confronted Cesar Duran to start the show and then Finau and Anao'i made quick work of Los Aztecas. These three can be an absoute force to be reckoned with if they can maintain this dominance going forward.
MLW Women's World Featherweight Champion Taya Valkyrie, Lince Dorado and Microman def. Strange Sangre (Holidead, Arez and Mini Abismo Negro)
What a random match. Then again, most matches Microman has are random, and they did set this up in a backstage segment a week or two ago. Valkyrie is always a treat and it was great to see Dorado back in action following his release from WWE late last year. This didn't last long, but it didn't need to as that was my biggest nitpick of Microman's other matches. Sandman coming out afterward, laying out Strange Sangre and drinking beer with Microman was the best thing on the entire show and the crowd ate it up.
This was one of the shortest editions of Fusion that I can remember at only 36 minutes. What's weird is that the two featured matches were very brief, so a majority of the show consisted of backstage promos, hype packages and the post-match angle that ended the episode. All in all, it was a very uneventful edition of Fusion, but if nothing else, I appreciate that they kept it short and sweet. There wasn't much to the show, but at least nothing was bad by any means.
