Davey Richards def. Danny Rivera

It feels like 5150 are all over these shows week after week. They're an entertaining act, but they're definitely overexposed. Now they're just spinning their wheels following their loss of the MLW World Tag Tag Team Championship and their recent loss to The Von Erichs. That was why Rivera was fed to Richards here, but they had an enjoyable outing, so I had no issue with it. Rivera impressed in defeat and Richards can get back on track with this win.

Microman, Aerostar and El Dragon def. Arez, TJP and Mini Abismo Negro

MLW is really leaning into Microman as a fan favorite. I guess it was at Gilley's Dallas where he became a sensation with the MLW audience, so since they were back there, I guess it made sense to spotlight him again. I don't get it personally and suspect it's going to wear out it welcome at some point, but the fans are eating it up for now. Like most Microman matches, it went longer than it should have but was perfectly fine for what it was.

MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone def. Cezar Duran by Disqualification

I was very interested to see how this would play out. I assumed there would be shenanigans, and there was, but I assumed there would be more of a "match." Instead, it was a total angle, though Duran's pre-match antics were entertaining. It turned out to be a ruse almost right away with Hammerstone being attacked by Richard Holliday as well as King Muertes and Mads Krugger before The Von Erichs made the save, setting up a big six-man tag team match for next week and effectively furthering the feud between Hammerstone and Holliday.

Overall Show

You probably either enjoyed what they did at the end or absolutely hated it because it wasn't a match at all. I wanted to see more of Duran in there attempting to avoid Hammerstone, but oh well. The rest of the show was solid enough yet nothing you need to go out of your way to see. The stuff in the middle didn't matter much, but they utilized the time well. I'm looking forward to Battle Riot in a few weeks and since they're heavily promoting that, I'm hoping it will be eventful.
