CM Punk delivers a Go To Sleep to Daniel Bryan.
Strong promo to kick off the show from Chris Jericho and CM Punk. I would have liked to see this hyped up and saved for a later week, but that's nitpicking things. The WrestleMania opponents showed great intensity here and made their points as to why they are the best the world. I've been long awaiting this amazing promo from these two, and I hope to see more of it in coming weeks.

Much like on last week's episode of SmackDown, the match between WWE Champion CM Punk vs. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan was overshadowed by the obnoxious John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long feud. It was great action while it lasted, but the no-finish was much of the same from their previous bout. Hopefully, we'll finally get a clean finish when these two feud for real down the line.

Meaningless match between Kelly Kelly and Nikki Bella. The action was fine, but what was the purpose behind it? We've seen this match more than enough times, and have no evident rivalry going into WrestleMania. I'd much rather see Beth Phoenix make an appearance and hype up the Divas Championship going into WrestleMania.

Good match with John Cena defeating The Miz. We've seen this match countless times, so I was glad to see it last only around five minutes. While Miz lost yet again, his promo prior to the bout was well-done in voicing his concerns regarding not being booked for WrestleMania. Cena needed the momentum heading into Mania, so this was a nice victory for him as well.

Fun Triple Threat tag team match with the WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico successfully retaining their belts against the teams of Kofi King with R-Truth and United States Champion Jack Swagger with Dolph Ziggler. I was afraid we'd witness a title change in order to set up a match for WrestleMania, but thankfully that didn't come to fruition. All the participants worked hard and made this entertaining despite not being previously advertised. Kane's post-match attack seemed a bit random, but at least he's finally got his heat back and looks to possibly be building towards a Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania.

Sheamus lays waste to Mark Henry.
Impressive promo from Eve explaining her actions from the last few weeks. She surprised me to how well she can get over as a heel, since Eve garnered the most Diva heat other than Vickie Guerrero. It was short, sweet, and got straight to the point. I look forward to her feuding with the returning Zack Ryder in the near future if that is the direction they end up going with.

Brief match with Sheamus and Big Show dominating Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and Mark Henry. It was too short to really mean anything, but it was able to further the apparent feud between Rhodes and Show. I hate seeing Henry being squashed within a minute after the monstrous roll he was on last year, so hopefully he can regain that momentum in due time.

Extremely entertaining segment featuring The Rock and John Cena to close the show. Most of the jokes Rock used were rehashes of material he's used in the past, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't hilarious. As always, his natural connection with the audience made this fun for as long as it lasted. Meanwhile, Cena delivered yet another awesome promo towards Rock that wasn't so much funny as Rock's, but more intriguing and intense due to the fact that he spoke the truth and had his sights focused on their pending match at WrestleMania. The excessive vulgar terms during this segment may have been a bit too much for PG-rated television, but it certainly pushed the bar and made this a very memorable moment.

Overall, a great show that took another huge step as we quickly progress towards WrestleMania 28. The action was decent as a whole, while the promos were simply phenomenal. Although neither Undertaker or Triple G appeared on the show, they did an excellent job progressing it with the video package that aired. Every WrestleMania angle got enough spotlight that each felt meaningful and me highly anticipating the biggest event of the year in only a little over a month away.
