Idolmania Sports Management Celebrated Their ChampionshipsComing out of Hard Times 3, three members of Idolmania Sports Management hold gold: Cyon with the NWA National Championship, Jordan Clearwater with the NWA Television Championship, and Tyrus with the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. I can't stress enough how bad it is that Tyrus is now the top champion on this show and that's only going to drag down Powerrr even more. Idolmania Sports Management was already one of the worst parts of the program, so this doesn't help matters. NWA Television Champion Jordan Clearwater vs. Mims Ended in a Time-Limit DrawMims became number one contender a few weeks ago and retained his title shot on the Hard Times 3 pre-show. The problem with Mims is that although he's an impressive athlete and has charisma, he's never been established as anything other than a stepping stone for others. He'll win his fair share of matches but never whenever it matters most. This was a solid match while it lasted but was hindered by the time limit. The weird thing is that Clearwater had the visual pin over Mims before the time ran out, so Mims has no claim to a rematch. Odinson def. Ryan DavidsonOdinson was scheduled to face Nick Aldis at Hard Times 3 after feuding with him since NWA 74 but ended up facing Thrillbilly Silas instead because of Aldis getting suspended. Not only was it a downgrade of a match, Odinson lost, so I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to take him seriously. Davidson is from WildKat Sports I believe, but he's a nobody to the NWA audience and shouldn't have had a competitive match with Odinson here. The win got Odinson back on track, but it felt pretty pointless. Aron Stevens vs. Kratos Went to a No ContestStevens complained during a backstage interview earlier in the evening as well as during a pre-match promo that he's retired from active competition and shouldn't have been put in this match. He stalled before the bell rang and the match never technically happened because he had help from two more Question Marks in beating down Kratos and Question Mark II, who beat the other Question Mark (not the original) at Hard Times 3 in a Mask vs. Mask match even though Question Mark II didn't actually unmask. Confused yet? In short, this whole thing was a waste of time. Overall ShowYou can count on the NWA to follow up on a mediocre pay-per-view with a below-average edition of Powerrr. The show hasn't been worthwhile in ages, but this was an exceptionally abysmal episode between the focus on Idolmania Sports Management, the main event not happening as advertised, and Odinson vs. Davidson feeling like filler. The TV title match was the best thing on the show and even that had a disappointing finish. The Tyrus era is off to a lousy start, as expected.
