NWA World Women's Champion Kamille and KiLynn King def. The Hex

This was a classic case of whether the rivals could coexist before they face off for the NWA World Women's Championship at Hard Times 3 this weekend. Surprisingly, they didn't have many (if any) issues at all, likely because Kamille is seemingly a full-blown babyface at this point. The Hex have won a majority of their matches as a team, so it was an impressive victory for Kamille and King and a good match to boot.

Odinson def. Fodder

I can't get over how ironically funny the ring name Fodder is. He made his NWA debut last month with a loss to Joe Ocasio on NWA USA and I thought for sure that his ring name was an intentional rib because he was obviously an enhancement talent, but apparently not. It's also ironic that Odinson couldn't put him away quicker. Did this really need to be as competitive as it was? It was very obvious where they cut out the commentary about Nick Aldis (who was originally advertised to face Odinson at Hard Times 3 before Aldis got suspended) because there was one stretch of silence during the match. Maybe Odinson has a replacement opponent, but I haven't heard that yet.

Taya Valkyrie def. Madi

Valkyrie was originally supposed to challenge Kamille to a rematch for the title at Hard Times 3, but a loss to King cost Valkyrie her shot. That's a shame because I was looking forward to Kamille vs. Valkyrie II, and now it feels like Valkyrie is left spinning her wheels instead. On the bright side, this was a straightforward showcase for her with Madi having her usual impressive showing in defeat.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch, NWA Television Champion Tyrus and Thom Latimer vs. Da Pope, Kratos and Doug Williams Ended in a No Contest

What a random match to have on the final show before the pay-per-view. Murdoch and Tyrus will be opponents in a three-way for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship at Hard Times 3, but unless I missed something, they didn't have an issue teaming up here whatsoever. Latimer will be facing EC3 at the event, but EC3 wasn't involved in this. Meanwhile, I don't believe Pope, Kratos and Williams have matches this weekend, so why were they in there? From an in-ring standpoint, this was serviceable, but having it break down into a brawl without a proper finish was lame and rendered this main event a waste of time. Murdoch vs. Tyrus vs. Matt Cardona is basically a battle of three heels, so I have zero clue who the crowd is supposed to cheer for in that one.

Overall Show

I haven't seen this much negative buzz surrounding the NWA since Tyrus was announced as Aldis' replacement in the NWA 74 main event for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. The problem is, Tyrus is again in the main event at Hard Times 3 and Aldis has legitimately left (or is about to leave). His departure is a big blow to a brand that was already struggling. They had a largely solid go-home show (up until the abysmal ending), but I don't have much interest or excitement for Hard Times 3 coming up this weekend.
