Mims def. Jeremiah Plunkett
The commentators noted that this was Plunkett's debut, but I could've sworn I've seen him in the NWA before. Maybe it was AEW Dark? At any rate, this was a good, well-wrestled match. Mims has been all over NWA programming since the promotion's relaunch last month, and while we still don't know a ton about him, he's shown signs of potential. This was a solid showcase for him and hopefully we get to know more about him in due time.
This marked the debut of PowerrrSurge. I don't know if it will be a monthly thing or be brought back once in a while, but there was only one match and the rest of the show consisted of members of the roster sitting with Joe Galli and Mae Valentine at the commentary desk cutting promos. The show was also shorter than usual at around 27 minutes. We heard from Nick Aldis (who said that Chris Adonis isn't officially a part of Strictly Business yet), Kamille and Mike Parrow. It was a different format than we're used to seeing with Parrow, but I thought it worked well with the half-hour flying by. That said, this episode certainly isn't worth paying for now that NWA content is five bucks a month on FITE TV. It would have been better suited on their YouTube channel or been made free for those who are on the fence about subscribing.
