J. Spade def. Sal Rinauro

Spade has been impressive the few times I've seen him in action on NWA programming, so I'm hoping he'll continue to be brought back in the future. As for Rinauro, he always plays his role well, regardless of whether he's the plucky underdog babyface or the psychotic heel. He's been portraying the latter character for a few months now and every loss seems to drive him crazier. This was a fine little match for the time given.

NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion Allysin Kay def. Missa Kate

Kay and Marti Belle have done well as NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions and will be defending the titles yet again at the Crockett Cup this weekend. Before then, Kay had a warm-up of sorts against Missa Kate, who I recognize from the appearances she's made on AEW Dark in the past. Kay is much better in the ring than Belle, so I'm glad she was the one showcased. Similar to the opener, this was a well-wrestled opener for as long as it lasted.

Judais def. Jamie Stanley

This was the best bout of the three on this show, though I realize that's not saying much. That slightly surprised me because very little of what Judais has done in the NWA has stood out to me thus far, but I thought this was a well-worked match with a good dynamic. Stanley scored some offense, but in the end, it was Judais going over in decisive fashion. This was a better-than-expected main event despite mostly being basic.

Overall Show

This week made the most sense to do a PowerrrSurge show with the Crockett Cup coming up this weekend. It will take place over two days on Saturday and Sunday. This ran as long as a normal Powerrr episode but had far more talking. Along with the three matches I wrote about above, Joe Galli, William Patrick Corgan and Pat Kenney revealed the bracket for the Crockett Cup. We also got a sit-down verbal exchange from Matt Cardona and Nick Aldis which was well done. The matches aren't worth going out of your way to see, but I'd definitely recommend making time for the Cardona and Aldis segment at the end if you plan on watching their upcoming clash at the Crockett Cup.
