Joe Alonzo def. PJ Hawx

Jamie Stanley just debuted as Alonzo's new manager, so it made sense for Alonzo to go over here and start building momentum. Alonzo has always been skilled in the ring, but Stanley should be able to add some personality to his act. This was a basic, well-worked match designed to give Alonzo a win. My only nitpick is that Alonzo's finisher is basically The Miz's Skull Crushing Finale and that was all I could think of when he used it. I know people share finishers all the same, but Miz has had that move for almost 15 years and it will forever be synonmoous with him.

Ashley D'Amboise def. Samantha Starr in an NWA World Women's Television Championship Tournament First-Round Match

Yes, the NWA is debuting yet another championship that isn't necessary at all. On the bright side, it creates more opportunities in the women's division, but is the division really that deep to justify a third title? There are plenty of talented women in the NWA, so hopefully they can make it work. The tournament isn't off to the strongest start as this wasn't great, but it was passable. D'Amboise advancing was the correct call as she's more polished than Starr.

Thrillbilly Silas def. Judais

Silas has been thoroughly impressive as of late and thus I had no issue with him being in the main event. Judais, not so much. He's pretty limited, but Silas did his best to carry him to a competent contest. They had a decent match and Silas winning was the right result. I'm not sure what this was supposed to accomplish or what purpose it was supposed to serve, but Silas following up his win over Kratos at Nuff Said with another win was key.

Overall Show

This was par for the course as far NWA USA goes, but that isn't to say it was a bad show. None of the matches stood out at all, but the right people went over in each of them. The NWA World Women's Television Championship Tournament is officially underway, so those matches will make NWA USA a bit more meaningful if they continue to play out on the program in addition to Powerrr in the coming weeks. Keeping the show around 30 minutes definitely helps as well, so this breezed by.
