Pretty Empowered 2.0 (Ella Envy and Roxy) def. Jacey Love and Ruthie JayPretty Empowered 2.0 won the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship recently on Powerrr only to immediately lose them in an impromptu match against Madi and Missa Kate. Thus, this was designed to get them back on track. Jay faced Kamille in the main event of Tuesday's Powerrr and looked credible in defeat but came across like just another jobber in this match, which was weird. I like that Pretty Empowered 2.0 remain in the women's tag team mix while former member Kenzie Paige branches out on her own. Chico Adams and Real Drago def. Dirty SouthReal Drago is, in fact, not the real Drago, or at least the Drago I'm familiar with from Lucha Underground. I actually wasn't familiar with any of these guys and it's not like the commentators did a great job of telling us who they were. This was a decent match and there wasn't anything technically wrong with it, but it's difficult to care when you realize this match probably doesn't matter because there's a good chance we won't be seeing any of them on the show again. Samantha Starr def. WOADWOAD apparently stands for Weapon of Ass Destruction. That's more clever than most of the names of some of the people who pop up in the NWA. Starr looked fine in the most recent Champions Series, but I haven't seen her have a standout showing yet. This wasn't that match, either, but it was passable. It should have served as a simple squash for Starr (who is still in the process of being established) but was instead more competitive than it needed to be. Daisy Kill def. Rush FreemanKill is the dude who interfered in Trevor Murdoch's match against Beast Mode on Tuesday's Powerrr. I was wondering what his name was because it was only briefly mentioned by the commentators when it happened, but it's not like we got much more info on him here. At least he beat someone on the roster in his in-ring debut for the NWA. There wasn't much to the match, but it was more impressive for Kill to win as quickly as he did as opposed to this being competitive. Overall ShowThis was billed as a SurgeUSA edition of NWA USA and was basically the NWA's version of AEW Dark in that there were a bunch of inconsequential matches, no promos, and almost nobody in the crowd. I applaud Kyle Davis for doing a commendable job, but even the commentary felt phoned in. Needless to say, this was a pretty abysmal show with four random matches and a significant step down from your average edition of NWA USA.
