NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Homicide def. BLK Jeez

Homicide's regular defenses of the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship continue. BLK Jeez is actually a good athlete who, as I've said before, is held back by the bad Idolmania Sports Management stuff. Thankfully, no one else from the group was present at ringside and, more importantly, Austin Idol wasn't on commentary. They had an enjoyable affair that ended with Homicide picking up another clean victory to retain his title.

Brett Buffshay and Rodney Mack def. The Ill Begotten (Alex Taylor and Jeremiah Plunkett)

The commentators noted that Rush Freeman wasn't allowed to be at ringside for the rest of The Ill Begotten because he isn't a licensed managed. Apparently that sort of thing will be exclusive to NWA USA and I thought that was a really cool touch. The match itself wasn't anything out of the ordinary, though I was surprised by the finish since Mack and Buffshay have never teamed before. If the plan isn't for them to team again, then why have them beat an established tandem in The Ill Begotten?

Gaagz the Gimp def. Sal the Pal

Both of these guys are a part of James Mitchell's weird new faction. The commentators noted that this match came together as a punishment from Mitchell. I'm not sure anyone asked for this and I wish we hadn't gotten it. Most of it was stupid shenanigans and none of it was entertaining. Worse yet, it was positioned as the main event, so that was what they went off the air with. Maybe there's an audience for this sort of thing, but I'm definitely not among them.

Overall Show

The best part of this episode was the promo Nick Aldis cut right after the opener addressing Matt Cardona. That was excellent and did a nice job of hyping up his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship rematch with Cardona at Alwayz Ready next month. Homicide vs. Jeez was also a highlight, but the middle match was forgettable and the main event was awful. Why did they think that was a good idea? This was a mixed bag of a show on the whole that had no business being as long as it was if that was what they were going to close out with.
