Max The Impaler def. Taryn Terrell and Natalia Markova in a 2-on-1 Handicap MatchI believe I've said this before, but didn't Terrell and Markova go their separate ways a while ago? Terrell has been an overly obnoxious manager since arriving in the NWA and doesn't benefit Markova in any way, so hopefully their alliance is short-lived because Markova was building momentum on her own. This basically served as a showcase for Max, who largely dominated Terrell and Markova with ease despite having the odds stacked against her. NWA United States Tag Team Champion Wrecking Ball Legursky and The ILL Begotten (Alex Taylor and Jeremiah Plunkett) def. Magic Jake Dumas and The NowThis was one of those Strange Bedfellows tag team matches where the partners are random. It was, indeed, a very random match and I'm not sure what purpose it was supposed to serve. Legursky was the biggest star of the bunch, so it made sense for him to pick the win for his team. The match itself was nothing special, but they made decent use of the time they had. NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion Kenzie Paige def. Missa KateKate and Madi beat Pretty Empowered recently, earning them a shot at the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship at Hard Times 3. It's possible they take the titles because it's not like there are many other teams in the division. Kate hasn't been established at all, so her winning her would have helped her and Madi look more like threats. The match itself was well worked while it lasted. William Patrick Corgan Unveiled New NWA United States Tag Team Championship BeltsWhy would there be a new design for the NWA U.S. tag titles that just debuted at NWA 74 two months ago? This seemed unnecessary, and even weirder than that was that Legursky rejected the belt design Corgan presented to him. He said he wants something more tailored to The Fixers before walking off. I enjoy The Fixers, but this whole segment was bizarre and I can't say I care where it's headed. NWA United States Tag Team Champion Jay Bradley def. Ricky MortonMorton is on his retirement tour right now and I don't know how many matches he has left, so I'm enjoying him in the ring while we still have him. Bradley isn't the first person that comes to mind when I think of potential opponents for him, but they had a perfectly passable match. Bradley winning makes sense since he's one-half of the NWA United States Tag Team Champions, but this was a weird dynamic since The Fixers have been babyfaces lately and Morton is obviously a fan favorite. Overall ShowNWA USA has become much more storyline significant in recent months, which has made the show more worthwhile and not as much as a drag to tune into. This wasn't a home run of an episode by any means, but despite some of the filler and that odd segment with Corgan and Legursky, nothing was too terrible. Honestly, this felt like another hour of Powerrr with how long it is, and I assume that length will become the norm for NWA USA going forward.
