LSG and Joe Keys Were the Two Remaining Participants in a Battle Royal

Per the stipulation, LSG and Keys will meet one-on-one on an upcoming episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling to determine who will enter the ranks for either the ROH World Television Championship or the ROH Pure Championship. This was a pretty typical Battle Royal, though that El Generico spot from Danhausen was funny. Keys eliminating as many people as he did (including Mark Briscoe) in addition to being one of the two remaining participants was surprising. I've been digging LSG's work as a singles star, so I hope he beats Keys to enter title contention soon.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Shane Taylor Promotions def. Primal Fear

Primal Fear previously competed for ROH in the summer of 2019 in a losing effort against Soldiers of Savagery. I honestly don't remember much about them other than I recognized the name, so their brief pre-taped promo beforehand was appreciated. This was more competitive than I was expecting with Primal Fear looking good in defeat. I wish we got Shane Taylor Promotions on the show more consistently because they're a terrific trio. That said, the six-man tag titles are pointless because ROH has very few (if any) trios who can contend for them.

Silas Young def. Josh "The Goods" Woods

Young betrayed Woods back at the 19th Anniversary Show in March. Young explained his actions in an excellent pre-match interview while Woods didn't say anything at all. The match itself was solid and I'm digging the new attitude and entrance for Woods. Not only did Young attack Woods before the bell, Young cheated to win, so they can always build to a rematch. Good work from both men here and I'm looking forward to them branching back off into singles competition.

Overall Show

It was cool to see Woods and Young get the main event spotlight this week and hopefully that isn't the end of the line for their feud. It was a fine edition on the whole between that, the title match, and the Battle Royal. The Battle Royal wasn't anything special, but at least it served a purpose. It was announced at the end that we're getting Rocky Romero vs. Fred Yehi in a Pure Rules match next week along with The Foundation vs. OGK for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. On a side note, I'm excited for ROH to welcome fans back at Best in the World this July. It's been the one element missing from these ROH shows, which have been superb overall since the relaunch.
