Brian Johnson def. John Walters in a Pure Rules Match

Walters has looked good since returning to Ring of Honor and Johnson is always a riot. Walters is a former ROH Pure Champion, but I liked how Johnson tried to take advantage of the Pure Rules any chance he got and that was ultimately how he won. It was a great dynamic and that had a solid match. Maybe this win will get Johnson one step closer to contending for the ROH Pure Championship at Final Battle.

Mandy Leon def. NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion Allysin Kay and Trish Adora in a Three-Way Match to Qualify for the ROH Women's World Championship No. 1 Contender's Three-Way Match

It was cool seeing Kay come down to the ring with Marti Belle and with the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship. She was a welcome addition to the match and I've been a fan of Adora since she debuted in ROH, so I thought Leon was the wrong choice to win in my opinion. I know she's been in ROH for a very long time, but truth be told, she isn't very good in the ring and hasn't improved immensely. Hopefully she isn't the one that goes on to challenge for the title at Final Battle. This was a fine three-way while it lasted.

Dalton Castle def. Dragon Lee to Win the ROH World Television Championship

Unless I missed something, this match seemed to come out of nowhere. Castle has been floundering for the last year and I'm not sure why he did to deserve this shot, but now he's the new champion. I believe it's the first title he's held since he lost the ROH World Championship over three years ago. They had an entertaining main event, though I could have done without all of the interference at the end. I'm surprised ROH would have the championship change hands before Final Battle, but I assume they have other plans for La Faccion Ingobernable for the pay-per-view.

Overall Show

We're in that weird stretch oh ROH programming where nothing really matters long-term now that we now Final Battle next month will be their last show for a while, but I applaud the wrestlers for still giving it a great effort and having quality matches. Castle winning the TV title made this an eventful episode. Next week's show will also be worthwhile with Rok-C defending the ROH Women's World Championship and EC3 facing Jay Lethal in what very well could be Lethal's swan song from ROH.
