Ring of Honor Review - September 4, 2019

Lifeblood def. Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham

(From my Summer Supercard review...) Between David Finlay getting hurt, Juice Robinson staying put in Japan and Tenille Dashwood leaving the company, Lifeblood were struggling for a while to find their footing, but I feel that their recent string of matches with Villain Enterprises were a turning point for them. They've been winning a bit more frequently and their matches have been very exciting to watch. Of course, it helped that they had quality opponents to work with in Lethal and Gresham, who also put forth an excellent effort in this outing. Lifeblood winning was the right call and I'm looking forward to the eventual Lethal vs. Gresham feud.

Overall Show

This recap show featured more highlights from Summer Supercard, which at this point was almost a month ago. In other words, it's outdated content and I'm ready for some fresh stuff to be shown. I expect them to start airing content from Center Stage and Honor for All soon, but I have no clue what the card for Death Before Dishonor later this month will consist of since nothing has been officially announced yet and the build has been nonexistent so far. In addition to Lifeblood vs. Lethal and Gresham (which you should watch because it was great), this episode also featured clips from Dante Caballero vs. Joe Keys in Top Prospect Tournament first round action (as seen in full on Ring of Honor's YouTube channel) and the six-man lucha libre tag team match from Summer Supercard.
