RJ's Top 5 Favorite WWE NXT Superstars Right Now

Since NXT transitioned from the reality show style program it has been amazing to watch. Over the years, we have seen Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Regins, Neville and Paige start off in NXT and make it to the WWE main roster. The NXT shows on Wednesdays and the NXT TakeOver Specials have been amazing and have had me at times more intrigued then the main roster shows. That is due to intriguing storylines, character development and amazing in-ring action. My list may be critical to some but this is my personal opinion.

5. Finn Balor

Some may be critical with Finn Balor as my #5 but that isn’t and shouldn’t be a knock on how talented Balor is. He is a STAR like Graham always says with the look, the entrance and the in-ring skills. Balor has been in good matches and feuds since debuting in NXT last fall and should get an NXT title run before jumping up to the main roster.

4. Bayley

I am a huge sucker for great in-ring action and especially from the Divas. Since becoming a fan in 2002 there really hasn’t been great Diva matches or feuds besides Lita vs. Trish. Bayley has developed into a great babyface with her lovable character and as a great in-ring wrestler. Her feud with Emma lately has been good for Bayley since she isn’t in the NXT Divas Championship picture. Like Balor I see a future NXT Divas Championship run for Bayley.

3.Tyler Breeze

When I started watching NXT, Tyler Breeze was someone who I had a liking for but I wasn’t sure how his gimmick would get over. Breeze’s gimmick is a model but has recently shown a new aggressive side to his in-ring action. His entrance with the selfie stick makes “Prince Pretty” a perfect heel and plays his gimmick perfect. Breeze has been in NXT for a while and still hasn’t won any titles so it will be interesting if he eventually gets a title reign or see a gimmick transformation.

2. Becky Lynch

I don’t think anyone reading this right now expected another Diva on this list unless it was Sasha Banks or Charlotte. But, since she switched from her Irish dancing gimmick, which was horrendous, my favorite Diva has been Becky Lynch. Since going heel and having her match at NXT Takeover: Rival and at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable, Lynch has shown she can be a top Diva in NXT and on the main roster. The passion she has for this business is amazing and I hope she becomes NXT Divas Champion sooner rather then later.

1. Kevin Owens

Since debuting in December, Kevin Owens has been my favorite NXT superstar. After the vignettes and turning heel the first night I have loved his booking and his matches. Owens is the monster heel NXT hasn’t had and is running through the babyfaces. He just signed a WWE Main Roster contract and I couldn’t be more excited. Like Balor and Zayn, Owens has been ready for the main roster and I cant wait to see how he does on the main roster.
