By RJ Marceau What’s up guys, so last week I got my tickets for WrestleMania 33. It will be my second WrestleMania that I have attended with my first being WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. I really enjoyed that show and I have high hopes for this year’s show. Unfortunately they don’t announce the card till early 2017 so I decided to do an early WrestleMania 33 matches I want to see article. I thought I did one last year but I couldn’t find it. It will be interesting to see if any of these actually happen. The Miz vs. Daniel BryanWWE has been teasing a feud between Daniel Bryan and The Miz since the brand extension. They have argued, had that great Talking Smack segment and Miz has been mocking him by using his old moves in his matches. Daniel never actually got a final match or a retirement match and one against his NXT Pro from 6 years ago would be a perfect way to go out. These guys have had some great matches over the years and would be a good match to kick off WrestleMania 33. I didn’t put a title or stipulation because I think it would be a one off so saying it was a retirement match wouldn’t be necessary. If The Miz is still IC Champ then it would be cool for Bryan to win the title he never lost and retire. Kevin Owens vs. Chris JerichoJeri-KO has been on fire since teaming up over the summer and I love the tandem. Unfortunately for every good group they will split eventually. I am not sure when Jericho’s contract expires but I am assuming it isn’t much longer. These two “best friends” have teased tension recently and I wouldn’t be surprised if they turned on each other in the Royal Rumble match or at the event. I wouldn’t be surprised if this didn’t happen but I think it would be intriguing to see more one-on-one bouts then chucking people in multi-man matches that mean absolutely zero. These guys have amazing chemistry on the mic and as partners, so one-on-one should be great. Seth Rollins vs. Triple HIf the WWE doesn’t blow off this feud at WrestleMania 33 then they definitely have dropped the ball. It was rumored to occur at WrestleMania 32 but Rollins' injury sidelined him from the show. Triple H cost Rollins the Universal Championship in August and hasn’t been seen since. I assume Triple H will screw Rollins again or Rollins could return the favor at the Rumble if the “King of Kings” makes an appearance in the match. The story is there and the WWE Universe wants to see this match unlike last year’s main event between Reigns and HHH. The only other match I would want to see Rollins in would be a Shield Triple Threat but they are all faces right now and a title would have to be up for grabs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ StylesAfter losing his NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Toronto I think Nakamura could be called up soon. I feel like Styles will be the odd man out when it comes to WrestleMania especially since he has feuded with John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns already in his WWE career. I could see him facing Randy Orton maybe but I don’t think that would be a marquee WrestleMania type match. Nakamura has been the hottest thing in NXT since debuting last year at NXT TakeOver: Dallas and should be on the main roster. The match these two had at Wrestle Kingdom was amazing and I could only imagine at WrestleMania 33. Nakamura tosses AJ at the Rumble. AJ gets pissed says he has been able to be successful in the WWE but hasn’t revenged his loss to Nakamura at Wrestle Kingdom. Boom, storyline, motive and hashtag book it! Cedric Alexander vs. Rey Mysterio (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)Honestly the chances of this actually happening are minuscule but I think WWE could make a future star out of Cedric Alexander by facing the greatest cruiserweight in wrestling history in Rey Mysterio. NXT has done this in the past most recently with Mickie James facing Asuka. Asuka got a nice rub by defeating a former Women’s champion in Mickie James. Alexander’s ceiling is high so I don’t want to say he will only be a cruiserweight in WWE because he could easily be a main event star in the near future. Right now he would be lost in the shuffle but facing a former World Heavyweight and WWE Champion would look nice on the resume for Cedric Alexander rather than a multi-man match vs. guys nobody cares about. RJ's Final Two CentsI didn’t include Undertaker vs. John Cena or Goldberg vs. Lesnar III because it seems like these matches will be slated if all competitors are healthy going into WrestleMania. If John Cena is hurt I could see them doing AJ Styles vs. Undertaker and if Goldberg is hurt doing Lesnar vs. Nakamura or Owens. WrestleMania 32 was based around moments that were quickly forgotten. I hope they listen to the backlash they received last year and put on great wrestling matches.
